It's all expensive, we didn't choose a cheap hobby here Mason is right about the alternator being a maintainer and not a charger, a quality battery charger is a must.

I have nothing but great things to say about DC Power and all of their staff, Rob, Kyle and Stan are always extremely nice, very helpful and have always taken real good care of me. I run a DC Power and love it, my brother uses DC Power as well and is quite pleased. Idle amperage will be important if you plan to listen to your system while stationary, especially if you decide to strap 2 AQ 2200ds. Idle amperage also helps in the lanes if you plan to compete any. DC Power offers a 2 year warranty compared to Mechman's 1 year. If you're on a tight budget, as Stefan pointed out, the SP and HP series from DC are good choices as well.

Indeed I think the 8" market is growing.

If you have significant voltage drop, a high output alternator would be the best remedy whether you have 1 or 10 batteries. I'm not saying you should run out and buy one because I really don't know anything about your electrical woes. You should provide us with a little more information. What is your stock alternator amperage? How severe is the voltage drop are you experiencing? Have you upgraded the big 3?

I don't have any experience with the Lethal Injection series but the Skar VVX-12 subs are great, lots of output and they sound pretty good too. They are one of the best drivers out there at their price point in my opinion and they look good too.

Never have used an MA Audio amp, I did read something about them being .5 ohm stable though. Let us know how you like it.

Is there much of a price difference? I wouldn't even consider picking the xta1500 over the M1b unless the price difference was significant.
