  1. I'd be wary of Eclipse personally, but that's just because the amp I had by them wasn't that good. These would be good for someone getting the new tC though. Those factory 3 ways are going to be interesting to replace.
  2. find a screwdriver you don't like much anymore, touch the leads, have a bit of fun with it.
  3. I can't wait to see how he dies in ep1 of S16. They killed off the Black Stig in ep1s3 because he revealed who he was in an autobiography. I wonder what color the new stig is going to be. Does Alpinestars make a hot pink racing suit? I think that would be hilarious!
  4. oh god, this is THAT shizzon. I was really hoping not...
  5. something like spark plugs, that are going to last years between replacements, I can see paying more for, because they are essential to the car's basic function and you don't want them to mess up. I'd say go with the iridium.
  6. Alienware is way overpriced, even for the power. If you're wanting to spend that much money but want something portable that doesn't suck, build a MicroATX desktop. They can be pretty light, and you can still use the same components as a normal desktop, just with a smaller mobo and case. but even if you do want a laptop, I'd still say no to Alienware. It's now owned by Dell, and uh... Dell is Dell...
  7. this is what I was thinking as I read this. Just make some sort of large rubber gasket that will seal up against the seat backs when the seats are closed. Or possibly even mount the sub to the seats, that could possibly work, and then you would still have your full opening when you fold the seats down, you would just have to worry about hitting the magnet.
  8. +1 glow where you can see the bulb just looks bad. not gonna like, eclipses with body kits usually just look stupid, but this car looks genuinely mean! I think it's the black mesh and the supports, usually they just throw the kit on, paint it, and forget about it. This just keeps looking better every day.
  9. fuel economy: "it's a 6k lb truck, do you even want to know?"
  10. I've become a fan of dubstep lately, both massive and melodic. To be honest, I get most of my recommendations off of 4chan's /b/. at around 2 am CST, there's usually a dubstep thread, and it seems to be the only thread i've found that consistently has OC. Here's my short list from what I've gotten from them: Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar (The Killabits Remix) Example-Kickstarts Bar9 Remix pretty much anything by Flux Pavillion and Bar9 freestylers - cracks (flux pavilion remix) Flux Pavilion - Got 2 Know Goldhawks - Keep The Fire BAR9 Remix Nero Ft Alana - Can't Take It (the drop on this is insane) Noisses-End Of (there is pretty much a 25 second sine wave in the middle of this at 1:38. USACi anyone?) Stephen Jerzak ft Leighton Meester - She Said (The_Killabits_Remix) (melodic, but it slams) The Killabits - Stray Bullet other than than dubstep, I listen to a lot of Pendulum just off the top of my head from them: The fountain slam (I hate this song but most pendulum fans love it) The island p1&2 watercolor witchcraft Set me on fire <dubstep+pendulum=jizz in my pants blood sugar encoder the other side granite <slams but I don't like it I've been listening to dance music lately like Lady Gaga, Cascada, Tiesto, stuff like that.
  11. I'm close to Tyler sweet, if you're ever around Rockwall, send me a PM, i'd love to hear this.
  12. The only time I've gotten in any trouble with audio was when we were "testing" a friend's xA in the church parking lot and they could hear it half a mile away. The cops were cool about it though, we distracted one of them by talking about Toyotas, then they asked for a demo. He didn't even get to 20 (out of 35) on the head unit with the bass knob all the way down before they said that was enough, hahaha With my own system, i've never had any cop troubles, probably partially because I don't have enough to annoy anyone unless I am right next to them. Either way, when I'm near a neighborhood or a stop light, my bass knob goes all the way down. My speakers might stay up, but only if my windows are up too. Like Frostedflakejake said, it's just a little embarrassing if people are staring at you or giving you evil stares.
  13. Standard Wall woah, where in E Texas are you from? I might have to come hear this if you're close enough.
  14. Immersion - Pendulum (yeah the whole album) my favorites are Witchcraft, Set Me On Fire (dubstep, hell yeah ), and The Fountain.
  15. this thread makes me giggle... edit: oh wow, totally didn't notice this was from April. aren't I an idiot... *facepalm*
  16. dang, last time I looked, this was only on page 10. Very nice work! I wish I had the resources and time to do something like this in my car. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see it finished! definitely get in touch with Soundstream, they will want to see this.
  17. We got the cops called on us from a half mile away with just one DC lv5 18 in an xA, I can't even imagine how loud this is going to be. Is this just a daily ground pounder or is this going to be for competition? If so, then which one?
  18. I see Peel and Seal! haha, i've got about 3/4 of a roll of that in my car right now, and I need to do my trunk. Good stuff. question, what is that black box?
  19. Half of me is reading this thread and thinking "damn, this is amazing" and the other half of me is really depressed that my dad won't do stuff like this with me Good work man. Glad to see that you and your son have something in common and y'all made one hell of a project out of it.
  20. maybe I missed this, but how is this going in the truck? It looks a little too wide to go port forward.

My dad worked for several cities as a health inspector for over 20 years, and he told me that the reason the cops are uneasy about legalizing it is because there is no way to definitively test for it in the field. Like with alcohol, you have a breathalyzer that can be used anywhere, it takes about a minute to get results, and the results are fairly accurate. For weed, there is no way to field test for it immediately other than symptoms, but as most of us know, different people react differently to it. My dad said that most of the cops where he worked were at least okay with pot, they just didn't want to deal with trying to pin down DUI's.
  22. Your name is realm of excursion and you don't know where to find test tones? Does anyone find some extreme irony in this? ROE :: Car Audio :: SPL :: Community - Audio Downloads
