  2. sounds good man anton said that where his port is placed gave him the highest spl btw apparently he does allot of testing idk im a noob lol so just throwing it out there
  3. i did a while ago said on Facebook said it was 6" and 5 cubes i think btw i did pm you and what do you think i should use
  4. thought i would post a link of the box im thinking of making i believe he is using only a 6" aero ?
  5. rather stick with aeros so i can always re-tune easy why do u think not enough port area ? worried about port noise ?
  6. And yes i amp a complete noob when it comes to building a sub box
  7. max dimensions are 17"h x 31"w x 27"d i will be running a crescendo bc2000 thinking pretty much the same thing anton miller has setup in his cavi it seems to be really efficient i want to be able to hit the low's really well so im thinking 30hz tuning ? this is what i have come up with so far 27w x 16h x 25d using 3/4 mdf should get me 5 cubes after sub displacement of .14 i should be at 4.72 using a 6" aero tuned to 30hz i need 14.5 inch flared and with port displacement i should be at around 4.5 cubes witch is max recommended for the sa-12's if im doing something wrong please let me no i plan on building tomorrow
  8. i just went thought this for my sa-12's i wanted 1,000 to each sub though figured it would be more then enough !! through alot of reading my end choices were cheap- ap15001d or ap18001d crescendo bc2000d and db-r.com's saz-1500d
  9. i noticed this too lol there aqx1200 has typo too lol to the OP i would stick with the ap15001d its tried and true !!
  10. thats what i thought thats why i said ap
  11. i dont see anything wrong with that enclosure for a start other than its on the small side and i would at least go with an audiopipe amp over a hifonics if your trying to save some cash
  12. I was going to go with the ap line as i found the rms of the aqx line to be lower of course i went a different way entirely though lol
  13. Placed order already have a tracking i bought the 2nd to last one they have in stock cant wait

  15. When buying a refurb, I don't think they give specifics, but a call to them could explain all. They are very helpfull. This was the responce about my repair: "It had the standard problems, loose output inductor broke legs on a transistor next to it, voltage regulator filter caps had bad solder joints and 15V+ voltage regulator was bad because of it. All fixed up and everything siliconed in place now, way better than it was new." Wow, almost sounds like the build quality was poor to begin with. lol HARSH!!! Just wanted to give an example of what the responce was about the repair. I thought we were talking about Dbr's refurbs... Guess I opened a can of worms. I don't no if that did sundowns rep any justice but that sounds like a good review of db-r's work in my eyes if have a prob with my bc2000 after warranty i will be in touch with chris about it for sure
  16. Well guys since this poll was sooo one sided lol i went with the crescendo i like giving new company's a chance to make a name for themselves i have yet to find one bad thing about them and i like the color scheme sundown we all no is a good company !! and we all no they make good amps but im not up for the 2+ week wait time im sure its worth it though as again i have yet to hear 1 bad thing about db-r one thing that scared me is he told me that when he does the sales like these its normally 20-30 amps first come first serve and his site said he only has 7 in stock makes me wonder how long the wait might really be lol yes i am impatient very and have been all my life i have no prob paying for overnight on some items lol

  18. from what i understand the aqx is the new line supposed to be better ? but the ap line has been tried and tested to do almost rated and is cheaper
  19. even though its new vs refurb ? also with the sundown im looking at a prob 2 week wait time with shipping from db-r i realy dont care for that
  20. it would also be from db-r btw with 1 year warranty only downfall says its a 6-7 day wait before ship wtf?? i think the sundown puts out more wattage ? this was sent to me straight from crescendo BC2000d 2250@[email protected] 1100@2ohm 700@4ohm the clamp results state the bc put down 1676 at 12.8v 1.67ohm calculated according to jacobs clamp tests the 1500 put down 1970 at 12.8v with calculated 1.23ohm
  21. i will be running 2 sa-12 d4s need help on what amp i should get both seem realy good !! i can get a refurb sundown for 320 shipped or i can get a crescendo bc2000 new for 339 i like the fact that the cresendo is new and i love the color scheme but on the other hand i think the sundown will put out a little more please help !!! i no i have been a pain lol keep changing my mind over and over and have been talking about doing a system for a while but i have one sundown already the other will be here thursday and like i said im ordering my amp tomorrow just want to make sure theres not something im missing i think i would be happy either way its going to be an upgrade from my bad A@@ power acoustik ovn1-2000d 1250jigga watts 1ohm ftw
  22. i did email him and his price is firm on the 1500 im lookin at 359.99 plus 24.00 ship im sure its worth it but just out of my budget if anyone knows where i could get one used or refurb for 300 or so shipped id be happy lol
  23. well guys cant find a sundown in my price range although i did find an ap30001d for 220 bucks shipped ?? would it be ok to go with that as long as i watch my voltage and gains ? would hate to pay 200 for an 18001d when i could get the 3000 for about the same price nvm as i will be stupid and blow my subs with it lol i think im just going to go with the ap15001d for now and upgrade later if she blows its got to be better then my power acoustik ovn1-2000d that says it does 1250 @ 1 yet has 2x30amp fuse's lol
