why would both power and protect be on?

received a replacement 1200d over a month ago.its been installed about a month.i set the gains with dmm and never play my system hard usually only play to and from work.turned it on this morning,and no sound.so,i got out the car to check my amp,and noticed the power and protect lights are both on.haven't done much testing yet besides disconnecting the rca's and sub wires to find both lights still on....any suggestions as to where i should try troubleshooting this problems?thanks in advance

What this means is that turning the knob all the way down you effectively are reducing gain, all the way up it cannot go past the level of gain set on the amp itself.

Doesnt really matter since you can run 1/0AWG in almost any amp nowadays with some trimming of the strands or just use a reducer. Im going with the sae-1200 thanks for telling me about it i wouldnt have seen it. it looks sick. you'll love it........trust me
