sundown nightshade hmmmmm
I wasn't being hostile, at all. The baskets are completely different, and IA does not make Sundown woofers.

sundown nightshade hmmmmm
Why does it matter if they look alike? How they look and how they perform are two non-related things.

Need info for setting Amp Adjustments
I assume your box is sealed since it's 1 ft3? If that's the case then leave the subsonic filter at 0. For the low pass, put it at approximately 80 hz (it's really personal preference so just play with it a little bit to get it how you like it. 80 hz is just a general starting point).

Two Processing Options
Yeah sorry i wasn't really thinking about how much power you wanted. Strapping a couple of AQ 2200's would be a good option.

Two Processing Options
If you have the money, the Rockford 2500 constant power sounds good for your application. It has roughly the same output from 1 to 4 ohms.

Two Processing Options
OP, at this point in time i would be careful about Stetsom. Lately, I have read numerous threads about people not getting their stuff for months, even when they paid $200 for express shipping. Not bashing them by any means, nor do i have anything against them, I'm just putting other people's experiences out there.

Running into a problem. Suggestions Appreciated
If there's no way to do a traditional port, i'm thinking a clamshell design could work. Just throwing that out there.

First set up sub suggestions
I like the idea of two SA-12's on the SAX-1200d or an SA-15 on a SAZ-1000d.

And I thought AQ would be good
What's your box tuned to? The subsonic filter should be approximately 2-3 hz below your box tuning.

Trunk Car-Optimal Setup
If it's not sealed from the trunk, it's not worth it. I have tried it and from what i experienced, i had a peakier response and i lost loudness. Yes you do lose most of the trunk rattle, but it wasn't worth it in my mind. I am curious to how it would perform if i did seal it off though...

Port Area
- 45's in port of sub box
As long as you're happy with it, it's not worth your time unless you are hearing a significant amount of port noise.- Peel and Seal?
Did you not see what happened to SteveMead? That so-called "rubberized compound" was melting in his doors, so it's OBVIOUSLY not butyl, so it has to be asphalt.- Opinions on Hifonics Brutus BRZ12001D
The diagram shown will give you a 2 ohm nominal load for a 4 ohm dvc sub, so that's correct. You really shouldn't worry about keeping the gain down, as even decent subs should be able to take more than what they are rated for (as long as the signal given to them is clean). Plus having the headroom is nice!- Less subs/more power vs more subs/less power?
More cone area usually rules over power. BUT, depends upon the power and cone area difference.- Kevin S
I just spent 10 minutes reading through this thing, and i just wish you the best of luck on getting your money back. Personally, i would never deal with even slightly shady people, and situations like this reinforce my point of view.- Welcome to the IHoP
Damn man.........never a fun drive. J Right. I was so thankful that i got home safely.- Welcome to the IHoP
Blizzard conditions! 40-45 mph winds with 55 mph gusts, white-out conditions basically. Had to drive 10 mph with my head out of the window and look straight down just to see the yellow line in the bad spots! Twas ugly.- Welcome to the IHoP
Just drove in by far the worst conditions i have ever driven in.- SICKEST SET-UP EVER!!!!!!!!! NASTY
Dude, chill. The man thought we would find this funny so he posted it, and it's pretty damn funny. - 45's in port of sub box
