  1. i would do 2 of those. Yeah, I have a yellow top currently. Should I run one deka in the front, and one in the rear? I'm not sure about how much room I'm going to have to spare. Going to be running 6 sa-10's... Would it be possible to keep the yellow top upfront and throw a single deka 9a31 in the rear? it would be best to have 2.... but if you cant fit one up front... as they are pretty large then you can keep the yellow up front and run the deka in the rear.. and see how it goes... just make sure you get a voltmeter installed on the dash and watch your self. I have a stinger volt meter installed in my dash so I can monitor it for sure..I'll try one and see how it goes. Thanks!

  3. Alright. I'll get the 270 amp alternator from DC Power and take it from there. Thanks for the help
  4. That's what I figured, that it wouldn't be nearly enough. I see dcpower offers a 230amp alternator for my vehicle..Would that be feasible?
  5. My truck currently has a stock 160amp alternator, and a yellow top under the hood...I'm doubting this will be enough to power a saz-3500d @ 1.33ohm and a sax-125.2. I'm not planning on running the system with the engine off for long periods of time... Any advice as far as what kind of performance I could expect (if any), or if my stock alternator would even work for this application?

Nothing, but if you have proof that the item was shipped, IE and tracking number attached to your sale, they will be in favor of you on the dispute. I'd take pictures and include the tracking number for sure. Might be better off seeing if I can get a money order instead, just don't want any problems.

I'm thinking of selling some stuff but I'm kind of weary of the whole paypal thing...What's stopping someone from doing a charge back once they receive the goods?
  8. Haha that's awesome. Too bad it didn't register, and hopefully those cops don't get in trouble. (They showed their plates when the cops even asked them not to..)
  9. actually i think im pretty sure now, the 4 sa 12s, im just waiting till there in stock again lol i saw a similar setup on THE tube, 4 sa 12s in a jeep subs up port back and it looked damn loud That was jacob's (from sundown audio) jeep. Looked sick indeed. I'm planning on going a similar route as you. 2xsae1200vd2 and 4 sa-10's.
  10. Nice. I like the idea of the threaded rods for the speaker wiring posts. I'm going to steal it, if you don't mind.
  11. nice man. how'd you do that with the remotes under the head unit? looks sweet. also, how is it having subs to your side rather than behind you? soundstage ok?
  12. Nice, looks good! Now i'm confused. It's a SAX model? How does it compare to the sae-1200dv2?
  13. are you running the stock battery\alternator? also..8 volts? wow.
  14. Ubuntu and dual monitors FTW...Need another lcd. lol
  15. A+++ Thread! Would read again.
  16. I think you will have a hard time finding a shop that will let you in the install area, due to liability reasons. Maybe best buy? I know the one down here has seating in the install area... Honestly I would avoid most install places based off my own experience.
  17. Can you contact your ISP and see if they will reset your IP address? If they switch it and it works, then SMD banned your ip for some reason.
  18. Try right clicking on the window, going to select all then it should be put in your clipboard. Also, have you tried hard resetting your router? There should be a little button on the back of it you need to press in, and it'll clear all of the settings. You will need to reconfigure the router after so make sure you have all of your ISP settings. Rather than doing all of that you could hook your modem up directly to your computer (make sure your windows is up to date) and see if it works then. This would eliminate your router as the source of the problem. Do you have another computer you can test with? If it works on another computer then something is wrong with your settings. If it doesn't, then most likely SMD blocked you for some reason.
  19. You could try resetting your router and see if that helps. Another thing that might be worth doing is going to start > run and type cmd, in the blackbox that pops up type tracert website.com and see where it's stopping at\how many hops are going through. (you can paste the results here). Also, this is a shot in the dark but you can run also try running mbam (http://www.malwarebytes.org/) and see if you have any crap installed on your system that would affect your web browser.

  21. I ran 3 wires from the back of my amp, 1 for positive, 1 for ground, and one for remote..going into the dash connected to the unit.
  22. I measured the volts at the wires before hooking it up, then I hooked it up and it read the same voltage. I assume that it's accurate?
  23. It's a new battery so I doubt it's that.
  24. So lastnight I installed a digital volt meter in my dash, and today I noticed that when starting the car it reads around 14.5v, when not running it reads around 12.8v...However driving around a bit I see my voltage drop down to around 12.8v, not staying at 14.5v, even if I'm not pushing my subwoofers... Is this normal? I assume it has something to do with the alternator?
