I had the same problem on an alpine mrp m500 I tried everything I could and sent it back and they sent me a new one and it worked just fine so it might just be the amp

it does give some result but nowhere near a real deadner and it smells. The money you save still won't make it worth it in the end.

I have 2 sa8s in 1.2 cubes and they sound amazing. Id definitely recommend them.
