Fi builds SSA woofers. They are both great American companies. If the budget is your most important factor go with the SSD. You won't be disappointed and probably wouldn't notice a difference in SQ terms. -

If you are truly looking for a SQ sub the Icon would be a better pick over the SSD. Fi's SQ woofer is the Q.

why dont you recommend the SSD? Its perfect for his budget and goals. Ssd would be fine also. Dont know the price off the top of my head.

I wouldnt be surprised, neo motor and Ti basket. Like I said before, SSA products are very similiar to Fi. Yes Fi builds woofers for SSA. They do share similar parts. But this does not mean they are identical. Different companies, different subwoofers, different price points, and different goals.

What ohm do you need to wire to? D1 and D2 wire to everything but 8ohm

When I took my 6x9s out I put some aero port ends in place of them. Kind of the same idea. I also installed cld tiles and MLV under the stock panel. The difference is amazing!
