What do they recommend for enclosure specs?

Yes the box in the sketch would work a lot better. Your current box is maxing out your space in the trunk. Have you tried to turn your box around? Fire it into the cabin? If you did that and sealed it off from the trunk, I believe your results will be a ton better.

It needs a lot more port and your current port is to close to the trunk wall. Most likely this is causing the unloading issues.

He means the 9887. When I recommended him some headunits I typed incorrectly. I sent 9886 instead of 9887. So yes he would be looking for a Pioneer PRS or Alpine 9887.

I have never used a kenwood headunit in any of my vehicles. I do know people that do though and have not heard one bad thing about them. I will highly recommend the PRS80 to you. I have owned the previous PRS model and it was exceptional.

The Kenwood you have mentioned is the cheapest headunit with time alignment and bandpass options available at this moment.

Not going to find anything new for that price. The new PRS is around $330.

Find a used Pioneer PRS or Alpine 9886.

I've seen a few on eBay command good money. How much did you have to spend to pickup that awesome amplifier?

What you are doing is just a waste of money. Whoever was running the setup you mention above does not know what they are doing. If you would like some help post a budget and you need to learn a lot more than just what kind of amplifier you need.

You need a lot more than three 6" aeros if you want to avoid port noise. I would recommend at least 150" of port area.
