Nice hairtrick! How hard was that recone? I need a recone on my 12" Q and was just wondering.

How do you like the Fi's over the TDX's? Just wondering as I had an Fi Q with nothing but problems and at one time though about the TDX's.

Eeek! I did order 40sqft of damplifier the other day, so gives me close to 150. I will order more if need be. More money spent, which means less for the kids. I kid, I kid!

Mine sounded good while it lasted. I have had nothing but problems with my Q, but looking for my 2nd Q recone. I had mine on about 900rms in a sealed 1.5 enclosure. Gets low, loud and sounds good, like I said when it worked. I now have a ripped surround/Cone somehow and had a grill on it. So............

Good luck on the install. I bought 40sqft to do my trunk and have 100sqft of fatmat to do the floors, headliner in many layers, lol! I will be getting more SS in the future to do the 4 doors. I wish I would have read up on SS stuff before I bought my fatmat. Oh well and yes I know they will take it back, but I feel it will suffice on the floors.

Any new numbers as of yet? To be honest, I love this build and looks like some major blood, sweat and tears went into it, but thought it would have metered higher and be well into the 150's. Nontheless, beautiful truck and install and I can respect that! Edit, I didn't get a chance to look at those vids till now and holy chit, your truck has to be in the 150's plus! My protege with my wall in my avatar was in the mid 150's off over 4k and never moved like your truck did. Maybe your losing numbers with all flex? I don't know, but that flex was insane!

Nice so far! I have 100sqft of Fatmat I am putting on the floors and the trunk floor, then 40sqft of damplifer going in the trunk around the wells, back part by the lights, lid and rear deck. What I have left over will be doing the front doors. In due time will be doing the back doors and headliner and then get some overkill to put on most of it. Your install makes me look foward too it..........................................NOT!

Awesome install if you ask me. Not sure how much air the amp is getting, but like you said, she don't jam on it much. Those are very good scores mang! I was at 138.2 on my Fi Q 12" on 800-900rms in a sealed box. I wouldn't mind taking a listen to those Alpine Type X's as those are the componets I will be running again.

Not big on ported boxes like I used to be, but dam man, that is impressive looking box. Very clean lines and everything. I am not easily impressed, but you out did yourself there.

Man, this sub is right in my alley! I can't wait to be able to buy one of these. I already have a pretty small 1.5cft sealed box with a CVX in it, or maybe once I get my Fi Q sent back for a recone if I don't sell it first. But, either one of those are coming out when these go into production. To go smalled would be great! I imagine 750rms would get it going pretty good as it says 1000rms? Also what would the price range from, or we don't know that yet? Thanks!

Just bumping this from early feb as in re-guards to a price on a recone. I am thinking of keeping this sub for now or maybe just selling it once it gets reconed. I just need a price so I can ship it back to you guys. Plese Scott, if you can get back to me so I can get an idea. Thanks, Jesse.

Wow! How did that happen? Strange, as that Q is mine. Not sure as to why this guy came here asking. Might have been that one kid I was trying to sell it too on ca.com? But, he backed out of the sale. Your guess is as good as mine as how it happened. I had a grill covering it and everything, but to be fair it started as a small rip and just got worse over time. I tried to seal it up with some epoxy, but didn't work so well. I am interested in how much it will cost to get reconed as well. So Scott or Nick, can you send a price here? I will update my other thread as well asking.

Just wondering how much a recone for a 12 Q d2 would be? Motor is fine and just has a ripped surround. I would send pic's, but the one good camera I did have is being a pain.
