if you have 10 cubes to work with, go with 2 15s , 2 15" SSDs would get louder than 1 18 Q on the same power...

i was running a fully loaded Q15 off a SAZ-1500d for a while perfectly fine. Just be sure to be careful with the gains. Great daily setup IMO. But soon you might be like me and craving

it might not be a big deal, but it shouldn't be okay that dustcaps just came off of your subs.... i would be pissed personally. I'm sure sundown would offer to fix them, but if you wanna fix em on your own more power to ya

usually it is in the trunk- just wanted to test it out in the back seat and see how it sounds.. So far, doesn't hit the lows as hard vs trunk but my car rattles MUCH less...

bump, If I order a pair of BLs within the next month how soon could I expect them by?

Hi guys, i have a trunk car (2004 Camry) and right now my setup is sub/port back. I have experimented with placing the box closer to the front of the trunk (closer to the back seat) or further back (near the rear bumper), so far my car rattles less and sounds louder when closer to the bumper.. Question I had was, would I gain anything if I flipped my box so that the port/sub was firing into the cabin? if I am listening to the sub at high volume I usually fold the rear seats down to allow more air to move... Wanted to know if anyone with my car or a similar setup has tried this and what results they had before I manhandle a 100lb box and re-wire my amps etc.. thanks!

The BL Between the Q and SSD, the Q... now i gotta go , if he is set on NOT getting the BL (which i don't understand why).. Would be great to have Nick chime in on this so people can realize once n for all the modern Q does more than people seem to think it can

Surprised this hasn't been said. Exactly.. Your best option for that kind of power is the BL. the BL will too be louder on the same power than the Q. Why do you say that? The Q has a stronger motor and can handle more power than the SSD.

what are your brothers goals? enclosure (sealed/ported)? What type of music does he listen to? Is he going for SPL or SQ or just an all around daily sub? Looks like his budget is around $250 for a sub and as you stated he will be running an aq1200.

What are your goals for this system? What does sound quality mean to you? You can still achieve great sound quality with a proper ported enclosure IMO... Yes the Q is a SQ subwoofer, if that is what you are asking.
