  1. I know....but its the space thing....and the fact I will go to 2 18s eventually Gotcha... Like i stated before, try to get out and hear some setups with these subs... you live in FL, i'm sure you could find someone to give you a little demo.. In the end it is really all about your install like others said.
  2. 2 15"s off 3000 watts total would get louder than 1 18" off the same power. more cone area... for example 2 BTL15 will be louder than 1 BTL18
  3. gonna guess its a name?
  4. Unique setup, I like it. what's your electrical?
  5. sick car....
  6. back plate looks very similar to FI's back plate.... maybe something more unique would be nice like the specs of the woofer on the back Also, hope you guys can make a package deal with these+khaotik enclosures for a little less $$, i'm sure it would be a big seller!
  7. mostly all online (ssa store, ficaraudio.com, knukonceptz.com, sonicelectronix.com). Only local dealer I dealt with is Argent Audio
  8. I'd rather set my gains correctly and never have to worry about clipping/blowing anything.... Plus my ear isn't as experienced as some of you guys to accurately set it
  9. man all this talk about o-scoping makes me wanna get one... edit: got to thinking, I need to man up and get one.. how does this one look http://www.amazon.com/American-Science-Surplus-HPS10-Velleman/dp/B002SLHH14/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1292622706&sr=8-4 vellman hps10
  10. soo jealous. looks like its laughing at that 900.... your trunk will hate you haha
  11. You want me to get the SAZ-3500 to put it up against the RF 2500? I didn't test my RF 2500's to put it up against anything else. I tested it because I wanted to know for myself what it actually put out. I'm a skeptic when it comes to Birth Sheets also, but I saw the proof, and I'm happy with it. Ive heard nothing but good things about Sundown and will be getting one or installing them for my next customer. When I get one I will gladly test it. But like i said, i'm not doing testing to put any brand down. I think most people knew that. Some people have boners for a specific brand. Nothing wrong with that, just like there is nothing wrong with seeing value in other brands too. I like the test and I am sure Sundown would be right there too. We are lucky to have so many quality choices. +1
  12. wow great results, hope this changed your mind on whether to keep them or not
  13. Nice setup, what amp do you plan on hooking up to those ssd's? box specs?
  14. NICE DUDE!! get some vids of that free-air testin
  15. Wow very nice man, props!
  16. Agreed, never wanna skimp on the electrical, infact I plan on upgrading my battery once i get my new system in. I hate voltage drop!
  17. 2004 camry v6.. I will state that I def. don't have the gain as high as it could go (never tried to go above 1/3 way up). I would have to guess I am putting out around 800-1000 watts though Regardless, my setup plays fine and I have listened extensively to it (10hr road trip at continuous full tilt, hours of playing at idle @ full tilt, etc..) and so far no issues...
  18. not to be rude... but you would not know the difference untill you start that topic of " my amp is blown" 1500@1ohm on factoy cell on a 220 peak alt = trouble IMO. how so? I have tested the voltage @ idle while playing and it only goes down to ~12v, haven't tested while driving, but I never get any dimming while driving.. Also my gain is @ around 1/3 max on the sub amp so maybe thats why?
  19. maybe thats the way to go...would you recommend the ssa icons? Haven't had any personal experience with them, but all the SSA subs look very solid. what other subs were you considering?
  20. I run a saz1500d and a sax50.4 off a DC power 180hp amp, everything works great. Stock battery + big 3 done
  21. If you listen to rap mostly, go ported. 2 10s would get very loud with proper volume/port area!
  22. I have a 15" Q with full cooling and extra spider.... With all of that, I'm throwing roughly 1000 watts on it. As many stated, the q is a SQ sub, but that doesn't mean it can't get loud. Same with the BL, even tho it isn't a SQ sub that doesn't mean it can't get loud and sound great doing it. Every review on the BL that I've read praises its ability to get loud and how it sounds great doing it.. Judging by how much power you want to put on a single woofer, definitely save a little extra and get the BL.... you will be happier I was browsing the Fi website the other day , I think cooling is still free so you can save $40 on that still... Make sure you place it in a proper enclosure w/ enough volume and port area!
  23. Fi, I don't think those pictures do your subs justice, more detailed/bigger pictures would be great if possible!
