  1. Foobar. I'll put together a simple configuration how-to when I get some time.
  2. Glad you got everything sorted out and are satisfied with it.
  3. What browser is this in? Are we talking about imbedded flash (ala YouTube) only, or externally loading video (in WMP, or RP, or something similar)?
  4. Assuming that's a sealed enclosure, you'll be in good shape.
  5. It would probably depend what the "same box" was, but they are two subs with different purposes.
  6. Probably the first thread title in a long time that made me laugh instantly. Hope you're alright.
  7. Glad that worked out for you. I thought that it would when we talked. 5 cubes is very good for an 18" of that nature.
  8. Without looking at things too deeply on my part, if there is still excursion to be had and you are not running into BL or Cms based power compression, then going larger will gain you more efficiency and more output. Being that you are using a bass-reflex enclosure, there is likely still some excursion available, particularly as you approach your tuning frequency. I can't say so for sure without having looked at this more closely, though. Give me time in that respect, if you're unaware of how to do so yourself.
  9. I don't see why not. Go ahead and post them up.
  10. Slot ports? Flares? What type of ports do you have?
  11. No problem. Be sure to post up and take some pictures once you get things going.
  12. That should be just fine. Lots of storage and sufficient charging capabilities.
  13. Tuning any lower is relatively unnecessary for most people. 30Hz is a very acceptable tuning frequency for a vehicle on music. As for power handling, they can handle a great deal of power if you're familiar with how power works. I'm quite confident that two can handle a SAZ-1500D at 0.5 ohm thermally (which will probably be over 1 ohm after impedance rise), but it is very important that you have the necessary electrical system to support the SAZ-1500D at 0.5 ohm. They'll handle it, but when you start running out of current to supply the amplifier, you put it in damage (and the ICON as well). Have you given any thought to an aftermarket alternator and/or battery?
  14. Yes. I recall that channels 1&2 may be HP from 50Hz-5kHz and LP from 30Hz-250Hz, making it suitable for your treble section. Channels 3&4 may be HP from 50Hz-1kHz and LP from 50Hz-5kHz, thus making it quite suitable for your midrange/midbass (yes, the HP and LP combination allows you to bandpass the midrange). Wonderful flexibility.
  15. Just to clarify: this is a common occurrence when you have a fat bottom end. The perception is that the top end is lacking, when the reality is that the bottom end is exaggerated. A smaller enclosure would probably help you out there. Glad you're liking it, though.
  16. Quoted for truth, but be on the lookout for a new forum for Canadians.
  17. He's one of the dumb Canadians on the anti-Sundown front.
  18. Be sure to post your thoughts on it when you get it.
  19. So in case you didn't see the announcement, they are officially offering D1 ohm voice coil configurations on the Icon. If you order the 12D1, you'll be good.
  20. Tonight, nothing. Tomorrow, probably pull the headliner & deaden up there, then go to the branch because large chested woman from the picture I posted a couple weeks ago requested that I come. Sunday, probably make the false floor for the trunk, then Rider game Monday, sleeeep all day. Riders better be winning. I started looking for tickets to the game about a month ago and there was hardly any left then, so I've resorted to a lot of beer on the couch. False floor should be interesting. Nope. Think closer, if you have time, I can bring it down for your ears to discern as well. I am quite strapped for time again, but there is suddenly a distinct possibility that the girlfriend and I will be going up to Saskatoon for a night or more. I'll keep in touch with you on that one. By "think closer", are we talking Blue Bomber closer? Putting some speaker enclosures together, going to a football game, finishing off the alcohol I have in my freezer, not in any particular order. If you do the third option first, options 1 and 2 will become a lot more entertaining. Not that I condone using power tools when drinking.
  21. Scott: You testing power handling on the XJ-15 for Kyle?
  22. I work at SaskTel managing number portability.
  23. What's everyone doing on the weekend?
