  12. if i normally listen to it around 15 or so should i reset my gain with the volume around there?
  13. so just use my dmm and put the + and - in the power and ground spots on my amp?
  14. what do you mean. like the voltage coming out of the HU sub preout? or the voltage i set my gain to?
  15. the saz-1000d. i cant get a bigger amp for a while
  16. yea i put it at 15, turned the volume to 22 and then set the voltage to 31.6 but it isnt loud at all. my girlfriends brother has a 10 with like 200watts that gets louder
  17. well i just got back from dallas. something is still wrong. i cant get it loud at all. and when i was trying to set my gain i couldnt get past 19.5vlts or so with my bass and sub at 0 on my HU. the low volume it plays at sounds great though.
  18. i got it back in and playing. finally get to hear it. its ok, i want it louder, need a bigger amp. still searching on how to set my gain and lpf. and i think i need a new ground. with the volume down you can feel the sub vibrating and hear it a little. that is the ground right?
  19. yep, just went and got a new wiring harness to remove the factory amp and all is good. no more noise when i have the volume from 0-4 and no whines when i put my sub amp on either. so now all i have to do is run put the sub back into the box and wire it up. hope everything works
  20. well, took my factory deck out, bought a metra wiring harness that uses the factory amp for the speakers and installed a friends pioneer headunit and it had noise that came through. couple days later i get my old alpine headunit back (cda-9827) out of my old chevy and put it in. it still had the noise. i tried grounding the HU to the battery and it didnt get rid of it. i tried grounding the rca's and it went away untill you turn the volume to 1-5 where the music was low enough to still hear it. but after grounding the rca's, even with nothing plugged into the HU i still get noise from my speakers. Im guessing all my problems are from the factory amp, so im gonna try to get a wiring harness to bypass the amp and just use the HU to power my speakers until i get a new component set and amp. Also when i plug my sub amp rca's into the HU i get an even louder whine, its nasty. unplug the rca's and it goes away. ive tried 2 different sets of rca's and it doesnt change anything. so there may be a chance that the preouts on my HU are bad also. but yea, i wish i was back to driving a chevy but the tundra is nice
  21. i will get video if i ever get it working. ive been having a lot of issues installing in my tundra for some reason. lots of noise. never had this problem in my old chevrolet
  22. will my saz-1000d xcon be ok powering my xcon? and when i wire to 1oh do i just put the + and - into the B speaker side?
