A week now and I'm still impressed. Just save up till you can get them, they are worth the wait IMO. Indeed I will already got that ball in motion. Quick question, I was a lil confused reading the thread, are you powering them with a pair of 1500ds in the vids or just a single one?
  2. tez4life replied to techaninna's topic in Sundown Audio
Nice man, makes me wish I could afford a pair right now
  3. Nice looking sub, and agreed, it looks huge in those vids compared to the pics. Will it have smaller box requirements like the 15s?
  4. Would a 6" psp areo port be enough for a pair of Icon 12s? Had a idea and was just curious and needing a lil input, thanks.
  5. What are the specs of that enclosure? Thats a very wild design thats going to be pretty insane when the "big boys" arrive, its pounding very well now with just a fraction of the power. Very nice, congrats
  6. Are you just trying to get more output out of the Q or just looking for a different sound? If its output, I suggest removing the rear speakers and leaving those opening as vents into the cabin. It makes a big difference in my opinion. If you still have to have those rear speakers, I would suggest relocating them to the rear doors. Or ditch them altogether and just run front stage. I have a 2004 Crown Vic, so im pretty much use to that car and its qurks. I ran just fronts and subs in mine for almost a year and sounded great, no issues. Just a suggestion....
  7. The master distributor we buy from is such a big client of Pioneer, that they will honor the manufactorer warranty. Hope that helps in your next decision. Indeed it will, and thanks for that advice last night on the subs, thats looking like its going to be the plan.
  8. Beautiful install, Havoc sounded pretty loud as well, good stuff.

Thats pretty nice man, the Qs sound wonderful sealed I see.
  10. Man that sucks, I got a Pioneer DEH P600UB (non Premier), from Crutchfield a few weeks ago, I would have rather bought it from here. I almost got it on ebay, but it was only a $20 difference and that was not enough to not have a "factory" warranty. But hey, gives me room for a upgrade
  11. Nice work, box came out looking great, and that FI Q looks soo sexy, good stuff
  12. I went here and put your car in, http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Gro...00&l=C& Says you have a 6.5 or 6.75 opening in the front doors and a 3.5 opening in the rear doors. I would personally omit the rears and just focus on getting a good comp set for the front doors. I would also recommend getting a nice 2 channel amp to run those front, maybe something like a Sundown 100.2. Good luck.
  13. Always sorry to here about a loss. I hope that you and the family are doing well during these hard times. Best wishes to you as well....
  14. Cool, that looks very loud Qs are very flexiable subs I see. Hows the top end sealed now?
  15. Cool, sounds good, AA FTW
  16. Amazing work as always steve, to put something together of this size is insane. I mean, who puts (8) 18s in anything, lol? Loving those doors and esp the a pillars, Rockford Fosgate Power series FTW, nice job.

    LOL, you guys are nuts!!
  18. tez4life replied to Pipo's topic in Ascendant Audio
Simple answer......yes. To a simple question. For a more detailed answer, you have to ask a more spectific question, as far as what your looking for in a sub. (Output, SQ, Size of driver, Power, budget).
  19. Here you go man, try this link to the subs, http://web.archive.org/web/20060422160740/...nal15specs.html As far as comparing them, I cant help you there, as I have never owned them or the other speakers you mention, but that link will give you their box specs and tuning.
  20. Looks good, almost bought (4) atlas 12s a year or two ago, before AA change the lineup.
  21. That is completly insane...........I love it, nice job!
  22. That is seriously impressive. Its hard to get that low and that loud, nice job!
  23. I hate to bring up a old thread, but wanted to give a lil update, currently getting a set of kick panels constructed very soon and the large format tweeters wont work in the install. (thanks for the info M5) I was wondering, would these extend low enough and match well? http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...83e11d75abd3aed
  24. Im not sure if this has been asked or not, so if it has sorry. Are there any plans to build this? The 12 seems like a damn good deal of a sub, and a 15 would be even better. Only reason I asked is its late here and Im curious, lol.
  25. agreed, thats one of my fav movies thanks to a ex but man he was a good actor and died soo young. Sad
