  1. Im glad that I never fully understand something the first time I read it, so Iv got to read these over and over again .
  2. All good answers guys. Thank you so far.
  3. Yes Im basically asking if there is a "optimal" port velocity in order to achieve maximum SPL. Obviously there are many many variables, but like I said, I just want a starting point, even if there is one. Not sure and this is why im asking.
  4. Iv been doing some research in advance of me competing next year. Although I will be doing a ton of testing on the termlab once I start building my setup, I wanted to get a starting point as it will obviously make things a bit easier. Basically my main question is going to be if anyone has actually tested the correlation between vent mach and spl readings. Iv been reading that best results come out of about a 0.05% vent mach in a build, but on the other hand you see high powered, high sd setups only using 8" aeroports that are putting up huge numbers. I may be over-thinking this, I'm just trying to grasp as many concepts as possible before I start testing so that I can make the best result possible with my build. Thanks for the help in advance.
  5. Agreed, how does the level 5 compare?
  6. Christmas you say... Ill have two 15's please.
  7. Apparently that car runs on stupidity since they covered the fuel fill door. I personally like the ported woofer on the rear window.
  8. We dont even know if he is talking about a subwoofer or his front stage yet. We need a bit more for sure.
  9. Many many knowledgeable people on this site that love giving advice. Welcome, and any break down on what we might be seeing?
  10. Needs a little moar baffle, other than that its good to go.
  11. Hard to know, best way to know what will be loudest is to test test test.
  12. Okay fine.. Soon they will come.
  13. Lantz Im slightly confused here. Why are you willing to trade both your AB 150.1 and a W7 for an amp that puts out the same power as the AB 150.1? American Bass amps are so solid and you wont do much better with a SAZ 2500.
  14. I would say a 15" in a slot ported box would be louder. Now I dont have any experience with t-line enclosures, but based off cone area and how well these subs do in a ported box I think the 15" would be louder. As far as an amp suggestion, find one that meets both the subwoofers rating and one that fits your budget aswell!
  15. Basically in mint condition. Really impressed with how it looks.
  16. Well, the price was just too good. I went along and got the Visonik and love how it looks. Old school red colour to it, and its pretty damn big. Looks like my next step will to be getting those Icons. Might take a few guts pictures when I get home after work today, wasnt enough time in the morning for it.
  17. Dont see why it wouldnt work, try it out! Worst thing that will happen is that you still dont like how it sounds and need to try again?
  18. Decided to get it, picking it up tomorrow
  19. Well I'm limited to a battery upfront and 1 battery in the rear. I'm just not sure if that amplifier will be efficient enough with only a small electrical upgrade allowed
  20. Yeah... Its not that great, idk. We will see.
