  1. I went to a little car showoff / competition yesterday. This was in no way an actual 'organized' competition. Classes were setup as single subwoofer / double subwoofers / Three + subwoofers. After going through all the contestants, they handed out the trophies and prizes. First up was single subwoofer, my class! They call third place, at a 136.9db (I think i got this shit in the bag for 2nd place and my buddy would get 1st place). Then, they call 2nd place.. NOT me 142.1db. Finally they call my buddy for first place at 148.7db. So. I go up to the sheet and check my name.. I got 144.7db! They skipped my name i guess.. Anyways i told the instructor of the competition and he told me I can swing by his shop and he will make it up to me. But I still got screwed out of a trophy. ps : all metering was done by an audiocontrol, thats why my number was about 3 db louder than a week ago.
  2. Pop the trunk - yelawolf
  3. Alright, I'll try that out next time. Just for you guys.
  4. Outlaw.... That means in the kick right?
  5. Nope, sealed up on the dash, thats all i tried.
  6. Numbers should only be going up from here
  7. I like the new rims.
  8. Yeah i guess thats the only other option really. I just read that people have experienced the same problems after certain software updates on the iphones and ipods. Guess i have to wait until they put out another update to fix this.
  9. Alright.. So my Iphone has decided to stop working with my head unit. When i plug it in, it will either automatically go to error-01 (communication error). BUT, it also does something else I find very strange. It will sometimes play the very first song on my ipod. Doesnt matter whether I go to playlists, or certain artists, it will always switch to all songs and play the first song according to alphabetical order. (My headunit doesnt let me control songs through my ipod, i always need to switch using the head unit which is normal.) Ontop of this, if it starts playing the first song, i cant skip it, fast forward or even pause. This all causes it to go into an error-01 again. Lastly, my older ipod nano works along with my girlfriends ipod touch. Im just angry that my iphone wont work.
  10. I'm not even sure what outlaw means
  11. Yes. Sealed up meter on the windsheild.
  12. Thanks. Trunk cars are fun.
  13. Alright guys, here it is. Not too bad for my first time I think. PS. This is on completely Stock electrical (other than a cap) and we all know how well caps help you out and only 1.5k wrms. Music Peak: Test Tone: ~48hz
  14. God damn.. Listen to nick.. this is getting pathetic im sorry.
  15. Yep. Ill be done that hopefully before the real competition, I was more looking for quick little things. Iv noticed that there is way to many variables for different cars, Hopefully ill catch up with ramrod, i know he has an Impala too.
  16. Alright.. So I thought the first time Id be going to be metered was gonna be in July at my first dbdrag competition.. BUT, my local car audio shop is having a grand re-opening with spl meter readings.. Prizes are being given but its more for fun, I really need to get going and run this 0 gauge and install my 2nd battery, iv only got 4 days! Anyways, just wondering if there are 'general' rules to get the best number out of your car. Im running a trunk car, already know my cars peak which helps. Iv heard things like keeping your seats all the way forward helps.. ect. Im sure its different for every car, but I want to show my best at my first time on the meter.
  17. SSF should be set at enclosure tuning.. Maybe a hert or two below turning but not much more than that.. You should for sure set it closer to tuning of your enclosure.
  18. I have heard ZCONs are great at doing all 3 of those things
  19. I wonder what she is saying..
  20. Tuning from 32-36 usually works out well.. Its really personal preference.
