  1. great work. would love to see what you do in your garage. is it going to be a front stage setup with subs? or is it front 3, rear 1 with subs?
  2. Hey, are we talking trash about my new bedroom? its darn comfortable in there. Still amazed at what that setup did. it was literally talking air out of my lungs
  3. i feel stupid. i didn't know sundown was doing components. i knew they were doing the 8 and 10 inch mids but not a full component set. if so, that would be interesting
  4. That's my girlfriend! i think that is more appropriate
  5. that was a crazy night last night with the van. It was shaking the whole entire shop i work at. And yes, i was in the box. we were waiting for some dry time and i got bored so i slipped into my new apartment
  6. completely understandable. just one of those things haha. Lets see what this weekend brings with the build
  7. my main reason for not choosing number 1 is because your truck is nice and smooth but the rims you're looking at have rivets which to me are more of an offroader look. either way, its your truck and it'll look good either way
  8. thats just mean Shizzon. you got my heart going and i'm just helping with stuff. i'm not fronting the money
  9. its a processor. it allows you to tune your system a lot more than with just the radio and amps. it allows for time delay, crossover points, and expandability such as a center channel. a 3 way active setup, or your basic 2 way passive front, 2 way passive rear and sub.
  10. i really like your second rim choice. simple yet very nice looking. keep with the clean look of your truck very well. keep going man, can't wait to see the audio build get going
  11. i really like your second rim choice. simple yet very nice looking. keep with the clean look of your truck very well. keep going man, can't wait to see the audio build get going
  12. that box is huge to say the least. Lowe's doesn't even sell clamps big enough to grab one end to the other. today was interesting Dave. keep going and let me know when you need help lifting that dang thing in
  13. this helps me out also. thanks for the answers. Havas, thank you for posting the question
  14. they're so nice and make life very easy. build looks great man. keep it going
  15. i'm in a similar situation and was going to be asking the same thing so thanks for beating me to it
  16. paint it yourself. costs all of $8. some sandpaper and a can of flat black paint. for some reason your truck looks really different to me compared to other 07s. My brother's didn't look as good to me but idk. love the black out with tint
  17. thats just awesome. i want to see what the zcons look like in your truck. i've heard ram rod's jimmy with one which was sick, can't wait to hear two in the astro, 4 in a yukon will just be jaw dropping
  18. looking great Dave. The usb port looks good there
  19. i drove over to Ramrod's today and went with him to Lowe's and Home Depot. both are crap by him. Lowe's had issues with their pallet of mdf being wet and Home Depot wouldn't help us get a bit for his router. anyways, he has the mdf. i'm dropping off my router so he can finish the floor and whatever else. JUST DON'T BREAK MY BIT!!!!
  20. The state of Michigan says that there is no tint allowed on the front 3 windows (driver, passenger, windshield) unless written script from doctor. The back windows can go as dark as you like. In 2 years of driving with tint, i've only been pulled over once and i don't blame them. I have stock 17% on the rear 5, 20% on my driver passenger, and 35% on the windshield. I have a script explaining "patient has extreme photophobia and needs tinted lens windows to drive safely". I just took that a step further. Anyways, the buss bars look great along with the rack and cover.
  21. the subs do look really nice. a buddy of mine just bought 2 12 P2s and they're not bad. i had 4 12 P1s of 2 generations ago running off of a JL 500/1 that i thought got loud. it was fun, it was stupid, it was all in the back of a cavalier. wish i had kept them for what they were. I bought the 4 used for $60 from a woman selling her ex's stuff haha. good luck with it, i actually do like Rockford stuff.
  22. so what did you do in the last update?
  23. for sound deadening he wanted to do what i have. i went overboard and did a layer of raammat on ever inch, ensolite on all the panels and a layer of Second Skin Luxury Liner Pro on the floor. long story short, 2 custom boxes to change between, full floor amp rack, wiring up the 6 speakers (2 door blazers have 2 dash, 2 speakers in the rear panels), sound deadening, and the head unit install along with underhood wiring upgrades. I said prices are negotiable and feel free to suggest a lower price and we can talk
  24. I hear you on the crap weather thing we're having in Michigan. I was enjoying the 50s then last night we had snow on the ground. WTF! At least its 43 right now which justifies my shorts im wearing (in the house of course haha). The xb looks good though
  25. I have not heard back from this guy so i highly doubt he will be having me build them. i told him that i make simple ported and sealed boxes most of the time but dabble in crazy setups like his on the rare occasion. He asked me what it would cost to have me install: dvd navigation 6 speakers 2 amps all the wiring sound deadening and both boxes I quoted him at $500 not including the cost of the sound deadener or wood for the boxes. he sent me a response saying that i had a very steep price and that i should only ask him for $200. I honestly laughed when he said that to me. I told him to come out to the shop and let me look over his truck and we'll negotiate pricing from there. nothing since then
