  1. My buddy with a 2002 mustang convertible saw that and went "oh sh%t! we gotta do that"... so, nice job
  2. i have never heard an xcon in person but i have heard an 18 zcon and an 18 btl. they're both great subs, beyond belief really. i know the zcon has a higher rms rating and all but... i'd go with the ssa any day just because it sounds cleaner to me. the btl was in an explorer, the zcon was in a 4 door jimmy. similar environments. both had great boxes and the electrical to keep up with amps need. that being said, i still would say SSA, not because we're on their site, but because i love the clarity of the subs and the look. someone else will hopefully chime in soon to help you out more than i can
  3. voted can we get a discount on some subs and what not if they win????? haha
  4. i would have happily made the drive with you big guy. hopefully you made it without any incident in this lovely snow storm
  5. nice! i only want the 6 because i have a 2004 blazer with 190 horsepower and its not enough. my brother has an 09 impala with 210 and its slow!!!! and also.... Several GM divisions -- Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Pontiac and Saturn -- produce a model or two in Michigan. Metro-Detroit Area: Buick Lucerne Cadillac DTS Chevrolet Malibu Chevrolet Silverado GMC Sierra Pontiac G6 Lansing Area: Buick Enclave Cadillac CTS Cadillac SRX Cadillac STS GMC Arcadia Saturn Outlook
  6. looks impressive. where did you use your meter at? what garage is that i mean
  7. See, here in Metro Detroit we have a few audio shops. Obviously we have the Best Buys and used to have Circuit City as the huge chain stores, then there is Mickey Shorr which is all trying to sell MTX, Hifonics, Kenwood and so forth but jacking the prices up and telling you you're an idiot if you don't buy their Rockford Fosgate Prime Series amps..... Then there is Cartunes. i go to the one in roseville and have for 5 years now. because i buy stuff consistently from them and turn my friends in their direction, i walk out the door with them still turning profit but also with me getting better deals than anywhere else AND.... warranty. 4 year old JL Audio 300/2 was warrantied by them no questions asked and fixed for free (for me at least) and i got a loaner amp from them..... Yeah, i have dropped a lot of money into their store as have my friends and family, but they take care of us so i will happily buy from them.... Except wiring, that i buy online. Cartunes carries JL Audio wiring and its expensive no matter what

any pictures of what you have so far?
  9. looks amazing. i have a 2 door and it goes to say that i couldn't even fit that set up in my trunk with the back seats installed
  10. looks like a nice "little" toy
  11. i'm from metro detroit where at least 50% of the working force works for one of the big 3 it seems. my suburb is either doctors, lawyers, or white collar auto workers so its either malibu or fusion. i'm only thinking malibu because my dad worked for them for over 15 years and what not
  12. looks like a great truck to start on. why put 6.5s and 5.25s in the front doors?
  13. i'm not a huge fan of halos so i'd have to say get the clear halo with blue. but if you're going for the "evil" look, i'd say red projector.
  14. the more i look at this, its an amazing build so far. love the build of the frame
  15. honestly, i'd get the tweeters from bravox then build up the electrical and what not just so that you aren't spending money on speakers and such but can't power them all properly
  16. that looks pretty cool actually. i'm currently hating my snow with a passion. its too darn cold.... and all our roads are icing over.... Find out whats powering the subs and what not too if you can..
  17. beautiful car. wish i had bought my neighbor's when he offered it to me. can't wait to see what you do with this
  18. i meant specifically whats going in it haha.
  19. where in michigan are you? you could also go with a sundown 8,10, or 12... or some ssa
  20. so what is this? trying to make it easier for people to steal your car or truck? i can understand the audio aspect, i can. i don't agree with it though. but an alarm system to protect my personal belongings isn't? whats next, no home security systems?
  21. no idea what the box is for but it looks like fun
  22. i would think it would be just a positive and a negative. my JL 1000/1 has 2 negatives and 2 positives just like the 1500. i just wired my sub up and it works just fine
  23. then put something in writing that if you aren't completely happy that you get it back. you're "paying" for a service so i don't see why it wouldn't work
  24. so, i might have missed it but... where is the body during this?
  25. holy shit! i could never do that in my truck.. looks insane though
