XCON 15 sealed
THanks Why is a qtc of 0.60 with a vb of 3.0^3ft better than a qtc of 0.70 with a vb of 1.75^3ft????? Can anybody spread some knowledge on this?

Battery charger
I use XS Power batteries, XS Power charger and a soon to be installed Mechman alt. Great combination of manufactures. XS Power and Mechman FTW!

Why is a qtc of 0.60 with a vb of 3.0^3ft better than a qtc of 0.70 with a vb of 1.75^3ft?????- XCON 15 sealed
Calculating vb with a qtc of 0.70 I get 1.75^3ft. This is much different than the recommended enclosure volumes. EBP = 69.56 which indicates that the XCON 15 is suited for both ported and sealed alpha x = 1.778 = (qtc/qts)^2-1) = (.70/.42)^2-1 Vb = 1.756^3ft = vas/x = 3.122/1.778 Resonant freq = 52hz = qtc/qts(fs) = .70/.42(31.3) Are my calculations correct? Will the XCON 15 perform optimally in a 1.756^3ft net enclosure?- 1 month later and I still don't have my alternator.....
Robbie you need to thank us all after your machines are producing throughput and your CS is up to par. Weather you realize it or not, all of these "little" conversations we are having is forcing you to make your company better, your welcome. And I state that kindly. I hope you think about this often throughout your day. Who knows, maybe in the future I will purchase a DC Power alternator and have positive feedback- XCON 15 sealed

:roflmao:- Zcon No Longer A ProtoType!!!!!!!!!
I wish I could say the same! Weekend trips are cramped enough with my fiance, my daughter and myself loaded in my sedan. Did you order your ZCONs yet? It was easy Bro, All I had to do was buy the wife a car with 3rd row seating and she said oh honey....please continue to ruin your truck as you please. HaHa Hummmm, Scheduled Delivery Updated To: Friday, 04/01/2011, By End of Day - Multiple Packages: 4 - Lol....I wish it was that easy for me! I am anxious to hear what you think about the ZCONs. How did you get them?- XCON 15 sealed
Unfortunitely I need to build a new home for my XCON 15. The current enclosure is 4^3ft net tuned to 32hz. I love it. The output is good and the sound quality is great. BUT!!! I need to get some cargo area back. After tossing around a few ideas I decided to sick with my XCON but build a 3.0^3ft sealed enclosure for it. I am really going to miss the ported output How much polyfill should I add in the enclosure? Will the sub still handle 1750wrms daily?- Truth about wiring.
Unless you are using the wire in a vacuum, it will always be exposed to oxygen. The tinning can help, but is not necessary. Non-ferrous metals are particularly prone to corroding especially when in contact with dissimilar metals. Take a piece of copper or aluminum and lay a piece of steel on it overnight. Check it out in the morning and tell me what you find. Now, there are instances where this won't happen, but we don't have the time or space to get into metallurgy here. Just buy some welding wire, or a decent brand name car audio wire and be done with it. If others want to waste their money on special wire, just let them. Left Center Right. DUH! Seriously though, how many people do we see buying capacitors and have know idea what ESR is? No. LCR is a pub near my house- Truth about wiring.
Get used to it. Advertisement is designed to sell a product, good or bad and most people are suckered into that. Then the false information is often times passed on.- Poll for my new drivers
With the information given which is the amplifer, I recommend the dual SA12 in optimal ported enclosure. The SA series is a proven product line that sounds good and will make good use of +1200wrms if installed correctly.- Alternator Suggestions for AQ2200D
There are many attributing factors to consider before recommending an alternator for your needs. I would start with the big 3, upgraded agm starting battery and an auxiliary agm battery mounted near the amplifier. If this is installed correctly you may discover that you will not need an upgraded alternator. Other amplifiers and loads placed on your electrical system need to be considered as well. If you feel the need to upgrade your factory alternator I recommend Mechman.- 1 month later and I still don't have my alternator.....
Thank you for exploiting my comments. I have not shared any information from my dealings with DC Power that have not been factual. Kyle offered me a refund in December of 2010 or wait till mid January 2011 for my.alternator. I choose to wait till January for my alternator.... There really isn't anything for me to quarrel with you about. I no longer want a DC Power alternator now nor will I in the future. But I will share my experience dealing with DC Power to others- 1 month later and I still don't have my alternator.....
I was told numerous, over 10 times atleast, that my alternator was going to be shipped on a given date. So after the fifth or sixth time of being told the same story amd after the promised date came and my alternator was not shipped you expect me to believe you? Yes I am thoroughly disappointed with your company. Especially after PATIENTLY waiting 4 months for your product and then finally asking for a refund and you say "well guess what, now I have your alternator and you are not getting it". That's a good way to piss a customer off. I am very loyal to companies that offer an excellent product and customer service. I am also loyal to companies that FAIL miserably at delivery a good product and that can not offer minimal customer support. You know where yours stands. I speak highly of those companies that deserve it and I will speak on my behalf of those that I have had a bad experience with. So no I am not "over it".- Recone questions/help
The only similarities between a 15" and a 18" (same brand, same model) is the motor and possibly the suspension and coil which in some cases that may be different too. If you want an 18" I recommend you buy one.- Buying 2 subs soon, should I buy 1 now?
I recommend to wait for the funds to purchase both drivers. This way you do not have to redo your setup.- Zcon No Longer A ProtoType!!!!!!!!!
If the enclosure is too big, couldn't you bottom out your subs? A large enclosure that is suited for the driver being used is often times optimal as apposed to a smaller enclosure. There are many scenarios that will cause a driver to bottom out. An example is an improper enclosure (too big) with too much power being applied to the driver.- Zcon No Longer A ProtoType!!!!!!!!!
I wish I could say the same! Weekend trips are cramped enough with my fiance, my daughter and myself loaded in my sedan. Did you order your ZCONs yet?- box for 2 custom 12's
Find the ts specs and go from there. Not really, alot of woofers T/S specs are wrong, and others don't even offer T/S specs. OP, do you want pure SPL? Loud music? I wouldn't recommend competing with those amps, they will get you put in a high power class. What? That is an erroneous statement and I am surprised that more guys haven't jumped on this. How are YOU designing enclosures without ts specs?- 1 month later and I still don't have my alternator.....
You guys are getting the same bs run around that I did. I delt with it for over 4 months. DC Power should list their products as out of stock until they actually have a functioning working product in their hands to ship. But instead they take your money and make you play the waiting game and expect you to be ok with it.- Daily Driver Lumina

Good job with the pics! I love the green bobber in the first picture and pictured above. The black Trailblazer further down page 1 is badass!!! I have owned L7's. Decent sounding with little output compared to other subs in that price range. - XCON 15 sealed
