  1. Great sub choice.
  2. Your boy knew he was going to get hurt lol. How is the bandwidth in your setup?
  3. I thought the Altima had a rather big trunk? I fit a taller enclosure than that in my Elantra which I thought had a smaller trunk than yours.
  4. mJust a noob trying to figure out all this adobe stuff. I did a good bit in school in gifted visual arts classes but that was over a decade a ago. I'll get the hang if it in a few weeks. These will be added to a full color catalog that will ship with product. The next page I'll be working on will be the recommended boxes with 3d model and cut sheet and expected frequency response. I'll also add in recommended port area for a variety of tunings. Basically everything needed to build the two boxes for each sub I listed plus a few tips to help with your own alignments. How are you giving the expected frequency response? Wouldn't you have to account for the vehicle's in cabin acoustics? I would think that this would be nearly impossible without measuring every vehicle and mounting the enclosure in all possible locations in the vehicle.
  5. Nice! I love the dude in the background that is benching the bar with a spotter
  6. I thought your subs were built by Nick at IA?
  7. I see why you have been blowing subs
  8. Very cool man. That should make a nice coffee table, especially if it had a plexi top.
  9. yes lolDid you think about getting two DSS Ethos 15"? More cone area is a plus and it would be a nice change to what you currently have. I am checking your photobucket daily

  11. I didn't check, but I am sure a recone will set you back a couple Franklin's.....
  12. Will you post pics of the V2? The website shows the version I had.
  13. My IB3's motors are much bigger than those as well. Based on the recent line up I say they are ssd's of some version
  14. Did you contact Fi about this? Their CS is quick and they would easily be able to identify these.
  15. Mated with horns, a pro audio driver in a ported enclosure would give you solid midbass. Keep in mind that you will need to cross the mids around the 1.2khz range. I would think that a 12" midbass enclosed in a ported enclosure would be a tight fit to say the least. Beaming coupled with an off axis response may not sound too good for those 12" in the doors as well. I wouldn't use a 12" midbass for anything other than midbass. In this case it would be a three-way : midbass-midrange-hlcd. You may have much better results mounting an 8" midbass in a ported enclosure in the kick panel area. Even an 8" midbass in the door would be better than a 12" midbass when used with the minis.
  16. I may pick up the 8.35 d's and then the Beyerdynamic Custom Pro One. It is nice to have an example on hand on what my car audio system is judged upon and I love the variable bass reflex design of the Custom Pro One's to satisfy my bass head needs when desired. I need sometime to research all the pairs you mentioned Alanharthum. Thanks for your contribution to this thread
  17. Thank for all the recommendations! Alanharthun, great write-up! I will not be using a separate amp or eq with these. I mentioned the GMP 8.25 D. These are what the IASCA judges use as a reference to judge tonality. Since I do compete, the GMP 8.25 D may be beneficial.
  18. Good luck on your world record attempt! I am anxious to see this install come together.
  19. Nice! If you want to recoup some cash I maybe interested in purchasing your N2's. PM me pleases if you want to sell!
  20. $250 for a high quality set of studio monitors is cheap when compared to a lot that are over a grand. Budget under $500. Just as a Ferrari is cheap compared to a Veyron, still wouldn't call the Ferrari "cheap" $250 for a high quality set of studio monitors is cheap when compared to a lot that are over a grand. Budget under $500. Just as a Ferrari is cheap compared to a Veyron, still wouldn't call the Ferrari "cheap" This all depends on the balance in your check book to start with.
  21. The bass selector is neat on the Beyerdynamic Custom Pro One. I will have to look into those and the Audio Technica ATH-M50.

  23. I am looking at purchasing a set of high quality headphones without breaking the bank. I will be using them daily, directly connected to my iPhone 5. I want a set to have good tonal balance and smooth response. Requirements: 1. Tonally correct 2. Closed back to aid with outside noise rejection 3. Low impedance to help get a high output level 4. Smooth frequency response The German Maestro GMP 8.35 D looks like a good set at $250. Thoughts?
  24. Ok, I will shoot for 50" square of port. For weight reasons, I was hopping that the 6" aero would suffice but I had doubts. An 8" aero is too long. He already has a sub system installed, two 12W6's powered by a JL 1000/1. Rattles have been delt with. He has a two door. I am designing the enclosure to fit the trunk rather that building a rectangular enclosure and throwing it in.
