Why cant Fi Audio afford to hire more people?

I do not want anybody to take my posts in this thread as negative towards Fi Audio. I currently own two Fi Audio subwoofers and I am very pleased with build time turn around and with communication before and after the sale. After reading the same posts over and over again about long build times above and beyond the posted lead time you would think something needs to change. Using in house manufacturing as a reason for excessive build times isnt a very good one. If the demand is that great I would think that a workforce should be hired to supply the demand. If not, case in point, customers buy elsewhere.

Here is a facebook post from another very well known and respected car audio manufacturer. I think Fi Audio should take this approach. Hope everyone has a great weekend. We've been working hard to improve our efficiency so we've added two new staff members over the last week. One has started already in shipping, building, and testing -- our second new guy will start in about two weeks and will be dedicated to customer service. Growth has caught us a little off guard this year and we are working to catch up to continue providing excellent service.
  5. Tomorrow I will get this all buckled up and initial tuning. I cant wait!
  6. Alright the amp is mounted! I need to run the wires to the subs and install a fuse for the amp. The mount is very sturdy.
  7. Sundown love... Mounts. How it all goes together.
  8. A cover up on a blown out muffler is as thin as you get, that is why there is a hole lol. Shouldn't have any issues welding to your roof that's for sure! If you are doing the welding start with practice steel first. This will help you get your welder settings in check before you work on the real thing. Also keep in mind you will be welding overhead which does make a big difference.
  9. That sounds like my best solution. Ill see if my welder thinks its possible. Think my battery charger broke lol.. Its only charging 12.5v and keeps kicking on and off... What welder do you have?
  10. Nice start. I am tuned in for sure!
  11. The best solution is to weld the metal to the roof and add a stripper pole. The welding will peel off the paint on the outside of the car. I would probably cover the top half of the car in vinyl. That is cheaper than paint and can look great if done correctly.
  12. Download Audacity to do this yourself.
  13. Little bit more done today. Should be completed in the next few days. Wood mounting baffle were the pedestal will attach. Pedestal in it's raw form. Still need more work.
  14. As you guys can probably see I like to work with metal. Much more so than wood. so of course my amp mount involves metal! There is nothing wrong with the stock bottom cover panel on the 1500D. But I do need to make a new one for my amp mount. This will all make sense as I go on. I am using slightly thicker metal, about 0.050" thicker. I was originally going to use a transfer punch for the holes but a regular 'ol hole punch worked fine. I am using slightly larger screws to secure the bottom plate and I am using 18 versues 8. More to come.....
  15. My smartphone isnt so smart. I dont see the image.
  16. Kate Upton....yum
  17. Those door panels look nuts!
  18. I see this myth is still floating around. As long as the ground is good it doesn't matter how long it is.
  19. Sure thing Rick. I made a bracket to route my alternator to power wire in front of the engine. I should have routed it on the bottom of the engine bay instead. Maybe I will change that. Anxious to see more pics!
  20. Do you mean only run one battery? After adding the second battery my voltage is up, and dimming is much better. If I'm not following what you are saying let me know.Your first picture shows a blue power wire routed directly over the engine. Just saying there is a better way to do it. Has really nothing to do with multiple runs. Just a thought.
  21. Sweetness. I'd get that power off the engine though. High temps lower power capacity transfer in wire.
  22. We need more pics!
