Initial listening... stage width is phenomenal and stage depth us unreal. It actually brought tears to my eyes, I am that thrilled with it. The drivers are very transparent and if you weren't able to see them you would have no idea where they are mounted. I am anxious to hear what thorough tuning will yield. Overall it isn't as loud, still loud though. I was expecting this since the Tang Band's are very efficient and the JL's not so much. I am very pleased with the LPG tweeters. They are a very laid back, smooth sounding driver. Not as detailed as the Scan Speak tweeters. I am going to buy a dash mat as well.

3M 90 didn't work do well for this application. I ended up using 3M Super 77. I also applied the adhesive in my basement versus my colder garage. I cut the mounting rings to be a very tight fit around the tweeters and midrange. I actually had to press the drivers in with a blunt hard rubber tip (end of a pen) to get them to fit in. I also used Amazing Goop around the back side of the drivers.

Nope its tuned to around 80 hz I Kidd yeah I still have to Install it and paint it also that's my next step then test it and see how it does Haha I hope so. I have seen some burp cars that have a port that looks like that. I didn't know what your plans were.

You can do it! Just takes a few times to get iut right the first time through....even takes some patience and mistakes after you have done it a couple times lol. So...I was having one hecks of a time to get my fabric to lay right and stick in these cold temps. Ugh, I need to get my garage heater installed! Right now I have a mess. I stretched numerous material types onto the a-pillars with different adhesives. I finally found something that I think will work but no time left in the day to finish it. I all I have to show is the a-pillars with remnants of adhesive sprayed on them. Tomorrow will hopefully yield a working front stage.

I am working on one side at a time. I had a few hold ups today and didn't get too much done. I have always used ponte fabric to wrap baffles the resin. I fussed with it for at least an hour and I could not get it to stretch right. I ended up cutting up a pair of my wifes panty hose I also had to take another one of her glass measuring cups to measure resin She isn't going to be happy! This isn't the ideal day for building a-pillars.... Still have a lot of work to do on this side.

I am interrupting my IB install to redo the front stage. The goal is to clean up the dash area with a-pillar mounted mids and tweets. I absolutley hate those bulky dash pods that I was using. Although I was very pleased with the front stage imaging. Stage width was not impressive but I think that maybe a consequence of have the mids and tweets in the a-pillar versus the kicks. I want the a-pillars to look somewhat stock. The only way that I think I can do this is with smaller drivers. I do not want to loose any of the dynamics that I had with the Scan Speak and Tang Band drivers. I decide to go with a Jl Audio C5 4" midrange. The SD of the Jl C5 appears to be identical to the Tang Band (not including xmax, just overall diameter). The cool thing with the C5's is that they have removable mounting tabs. This makes the overall diameter of the speaker much small than the Tang Band. I am going to be using a LPG soft dome tweeter. I choose this tweeter because of it's small size and good off axis performance. Mounting the mids and tweets will still be tricky. I want to keep the mids as on axis as possible yet keep the tweets as off axis as possible. With the both being mounted on the same plane to help prevent (or should I say ADDING to phase issues lol) phase issues. Both the tweeter and the midrange will be mounted without any exposed mounting screws. Here is the Jl C5 4" mids. One has the mounting tabs removed. Jl C5 4" mid compared to the Tang Band 4" mid. Notice that half the surround plus cone is the same size one either driver. LPG tweeter compared to the Scan Speak tweeter. Old front stage drivers on the right new front stage drivers on the left. Pressure fit mounting rings along side aiming circles. Laser pointer mounted in an aiming circle that is inside one of the tweeter mounting rings. Mid and tweet in the mounting rings. Now to go make it happen!

Looking into bying a new desktop
Nice! I honestly I am not that read up on computer hardware but it sounds like I should be before I plunk the cash down an a tower. I will be in contact with you shizzzon, prolly after Christmas since I am going the custom route.

Other programs: Lightroom 4, Photomatrix Pro, Adobe Elements. There are more but none need the processing powering that CS5 needs. I realize that a custom built computer maybe better than a built one. I am hoping that I can save a few bucks with upcoming deals. I should add that Windows 7 or 8 is a bonus, I have Micrsoft Office. BTW my current system is (Dell) Intel 2.33ghz, 3g ram, 250g hd. About 4 years old.

Looking into bying a new desktop
I have been wanting to buy a new desktop for a while now. I am not a gamer. Other than internet browsing I use numerous photo editing software packages including CS5. 1TB of internal memory is a must. I already have a monitor that I am happy with. I would like to stay under $500. I have been looking at these two. What do you guys think? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883103411 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883255242&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL111912&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL111912-_-EMC-111912-Index-_-DesktopPCs-_-83255242-L08B

Best shallow subs for my truck
I am using JL Audio ZR800-CW for midbass. They do not have the mirror shaking sub bass output but 90% of the demos I give people have no idea that I do not have subs installed. BTW the ZR800 was never designed to be a sub but form 50hz up they sound great.
