  1. Waiting on pics, I'm assuming you scratched the idea of two 15s? This is all I took so far.
  2. Waiting on pics, I'm assuming you scratched the idea of two 15s? Thats what I was wondering. Thought u were doing 2 15s? He posted something about needing the room. Must be something to do with having a child on the way. Yep! And even with one 15" in the trunk there still isn't any cargo area left. This is the final install for this vehicle. I am actually getting tired of working on it.
  3. Everything is installed. I am not hearing anything funky form the sub. Sounds as it should. I will have to get pics up soon.
  4. Definitely agree that Amazing Goop works well
  5. For whatever reason he plays his system with the vehicle off.
  6. Nice tool box. I like your license plate too
  7. I feel your pain. You plan and plan and plan but when you install things change quickly! Can you build a center console (between the front seats) to hold you amps?
  8. Baby steps. Most of the enclosure is in the trunk. I have to assemble the rest of the pieces in the trunk because it would not fit completely assembled.
  9. That looks awesome man. How many leads off each batt? The VFL-450.1 has dual power inputs. So I will need two negatives and two positives, one each off of the D3100's.
  10. I think that I have already made a comment on the Miller Light somewhere. Keep up the good work man! Just curious as to why you couldn't mount the sub away from the port opening? I would have put the sub on the opposite side of where you put it so it wasn't right in front of the port opening, but besides that it looks good I want to maintain a shallow enclosure depth to spare some trunk room. My wife is pregnant and I am going to need room for a stroller and baby bag and.......
  11. I can't say that any sub is the loudest and the best but DD is definitely a good contender
  12. Less calories
  13. Gotta love the Regal
  14. I wouldn't add another battery without replacing your yellow top first. A bad battery will kill a new battery.
  15. Started the enclosure build. Shallow depth, 3.25 cubes net, 32hz tune, 56 sq inches of port. I might be fucking myself by putting the driver right over the port. Had to do it this way. I praise those guys that build enclosures in a few hours. I have spent over 10 hours on this and it isn't even installed. I had to raise the driver a little to clear the port.
  16. Electrical reserve can only come from a battery. Instantaneous power in short bursts comes from caps. Your battery drains fast with the car off? Did you do the Big 3?
  17. Sounds like this will work out better for your customers. Maybe implement the option of adding shipping insurance? This way of FedEx damages a product during shipping it isn't on you or the customer.
  18. No mids yet. Currently using my 6x9 cuz it's all I have. I was gonna throw in the mids from my edesign set just for the time being. In my humble opinion I think you should focus 100% of your attention on the mids right now. Tweeters are easy to pick out and implement, mids selection is another story. If you are running a two-way mids will become more of a compromise. You can either have good midbass extension or good high end extension. Really really hard to get both. Midbass can be mostly handled with your subwoofer setup if needed. Then you could run a 4" mid that can easily play to 4k then you could buy a smaller tweeter. Or buy a bigger mid that can play the midbass range but then you will need a larger tweeter to effectively play down to 2-3Khz. *Generally* Small format tweets mostly need crossed no lower than 4khz with a 3rd-4th order slope. Large format tweeters can be crossed much lower with a 1-2nd order slope. Mounting maybe become an issue with large format tweeters.
  19. Looks like an American Bass amp and some sort of Fi built sub (at least with Fi soft parts).
  20. If those straps snap I am in more trouble than a battery flopping around! haha I hear ya.. I was thinking more about how the strap is fastened to the base, looks like screw with washer into wood? If that's the case then it would not take much for that to snap off, considering the weight of the battery. I was thinking the same thing when I was designing the tray. But then again I thought "if these screws come out then something really bad is happening!". I will keep an eye on it

  22. Thanks! And welcome to the forum
  23. The enclosure build will start tonight. I need much more cargo room now than what I did when I started this build. I am using one of my Z.3 15" D1 @ a 2ohm load to the VFL-450.1. When Sundown releases the NS v.3 15" I will buy that in a D2 coil configuration and replace the Z.3.
  24. Shits starting to get nuts!
