  1. The bars are at the pools. That is why most people hang out there.
  2. The drive from the airport to the resort is an experience to say the least. bumpy narrow ass road. but you get red stripe in the bus. lol sorry for the thread jack Well since you mentioned it.......
  3. High class in Jamaica scratches the mid level around here. The resort was pretty, service wasn't up to par. After hanging out with locals that's their way off life, nobody works hard. The Island wasn't what I expected, what a shame. I cant rep the place. Damn. Disappointed for sure. It was still fun though!
  4. Hmm, what could they be?? Looks good so far man. Good luck with your front stage, I'm just about to start mine and I'm dreading it. I will post pics tomorrow when they come in.
  5. Oh yeah this was at the Grand Palladium Resort Jamaica.
  6. Most of these pics don't follow photography schooling but that's me.

I was flown down to Jamaica to photograph a wedding. I was there for 5 days all inclusive. Good time for sure but hotter than a mother. Pretty much the same routine everyday: sleep, eat and drink. The Island has some fantastic sweet spots but the streets are trashy and represent a low income housing project at best. Unfortunate. I could hang with the natives all day, some of the best people I ever meet. No wedding pics in this thread, those are for my clients.
  8. The 18" will be staying for a while. I am going to finish my front stage then I will redo the sub stage. Don't misinterpret, the Z.3 18" kills it but more cone area always wins.
  9. The Z.3 18" is an amazing sub. In fact I will never sell it I have two 15" on the way to my house The Hyundai will never be the same after this
  10. I worked on the passenger side AP mats today. Nearly identical to the driver's side. Inside of car. I made grills for the opening on the cavity that the AP mats fire into. It poured for a couple days after the install and everything seems dry
  11. I have used the XCON from SSA. I recommend you check out Sundown Z series. It will satisfy your wife's needs for an accurate subwoofer and get stupid loud. The Sundown Z is designed for an "SQL" setup and it will definitely suit your needs.
  12. Love'n the old school equipment
  13. With only having the AP mat installed and no enclosure there is definitely an increase in road noise. The AP mat will be sealed in an enclosure for the 8" midbass.
  14. I demoed my car the other day to a guy that periodically competes in SPL comps. He normally hits 133-135.xx db. After listening to my car I asked to listen to his. He said "no way man, my car isn't anything compared to yours" lol. We both think that mine is in the mid to upper 140 range. Not bad for a not SPL build.
  15. I needed to change my oil and rotate my tires today, Since the tires were off the car I figured it would be a good time to start the AP mat install. It went smoothly with no issues. I only did the driver's side today. Hopefully I will find time to install the AP mat on the passenger side this week. Hole cut for the round AP mat. AP mat installed. I used hobby plastic for a protective weather proof cover. There is about a 1.5" space between the plastic cover and the mat. The cover is open on the bottom side for the mat to breathe.
  16. This is the exact email I sent him : From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: Price quote please for purchase Date: Sat, 5 May 2012 18:40:53 -0400 Hello Don, I have a 2008 Hyundai Elantra. I would like to purchase MLV and close cell foam. I already have dampening tiles throughout my vehicle. I would like enough MLV and CCF to cover the cabin floor and all four doors. I am thinking of using 1/4" CCF on the cabin floor and 1/8" CCF on the doors. I would also like some 1/8" CCF to use on my headliner to get rid of some unwanted rattles. Any help you can give me in choosing the correct product and quantity for my application will be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Eric
  17. Oh yeah, Don from Sound Deadener Showdown has an order to ship for me
  18. I will not be competing, at least not for spl, but I might pop in just for shits and giggles. I will be re-carpeting the entire cabin floor. The midbass baffles will be one seamless transition. They say this stuff is acoustical transparent, I will find out!
  19. Started my midbass install. I still need to get a hole saw bit for the ap mats and a very important adhesive like product to aid in sealing the baffles. First off was to get rid of the factory dead pedal on the driver's side. Template Deer, of course The 8" drivers will not be mounted directly to the baffle. I mounted them to it just for mock-up purposes. This kinda how they will sit.
  20. Just received an email from Don. Very descriptive and thorough!
  21. I think Don may only check emails once a week. I emailed Don last Saturday and he replied immediately. I replied back on Sunday and again on Tuesday and I have not recieved a response. I regret to say that if I do not recieve a price quote by Monday I will need to order from a different manufacturer. Money is ready just need a quote and payment details My email is [email protected]
