Port flares for sale, 8" and 10" diameter pipe
Do they fit? Hellz yeah! Tight as a mutha but it fits over. The snug fit is great for this application. I highly doubt there will be any leaks! I didnt press it all the way on for the pics because once it is on I think it isn't coming off. Now on to finishing the enclosure design. This is going to be an epic trunk build! Good job with fabbing these up Adrian! I picked up an 8" 90 degree elbow for my build.

Port flares for sale, 8" and 10" diameter pipe
Not saying that they will not fit onto the OD of an 8" schedule 40 pipe. Just saying what I measured. I am the quality inspector for a facility that makes jet turbine parts. My eyes are calibrated measuring tools lol. Joking about the eyes but I can measure just about anything with fairly good precision. I will definitely let you know tomorrow Adrian how the fitment is. I am so f'n stoked to build an enclosure to use these bad boys!!!!!!

Port flares for sale, 8" and 10" diameter pipe
:| Did you try the links I posted earlier? http://flexpvc.com/cart/agora.cgi?product=PVC-PIPE-SCH40-8inch http://flexpvc.com/cart/agora.cgi?product=PVC-PIPE-SCH40-10inch Yeah man. A 4' piece from that website is only $10 cheaper (not including shipping) than a 10' piece bought locally. Plus I do not have to pay shipping. I need a 90 degree elbow too and I can buy that in a single piece count locally verses 10-100pcs minimum order online. I am very anxious to get my 8" pipe. The 8" schedule 40 is 8.625" OD and the opening on the 8" aero ports you made me are a 3/32" smaller than that

Port flares for sale, 8" and 10" diameter pipe
Looks like I am going to have to buy a full 10' section of 8" schedule 40 That is the minimum order length at all the shops around here. If anybody needs a piece let me know!

DIY MP3 Radio
Actually it isn't that technical. I am just wiring up a bunch of electronic components. It probably will not be the best sounding radio but it will be unique!

Car Audio Condensating
Condensation can be an issue if your vehicle has a water leak and the carpet is holding moisture. Condensation is normally seen on the windows. Kinda strange to see it only on audio equipment.

- DIY MP3 Radio
I want to give my brother a unique gift for his birthday. I decided that I am going to make him a MP3 radio. It will not produce ear shattering audiophile output but it should sound good for what it is. The design of this radio will make it useful for near field listening such as a computer desk or small room book shelf. There will be four different audio input methods: MP3 decoder with memory card and USB drive reader Bluetooth input capability 3.5mm audio input jack input The unit will have three identical enclosures. The center enclosure for the electronics and two enclosures for the left and right speaker. I am using a Dayton audio 15x2 amplifier and Tang Band 3" full range drivers. I will not be using any filters on the drivers. I will be porting the speaker enclosures so a baffle step filter should not be needed. Someday when I have the dough for a proper microphone and software I will be able to design filtering networks. My MP3 decoder is on backorder. When I have it I will post pics. I have not started assembly this yet. I am still piecing everything together and figuring it out. I am using an outboard power supply. The Bluetooth module and MP3 decoder need 5V. I will be building a 5V regulator. I placed a penny in the pics so you can see how small this guy is- 4 18" SSA Zcon's In a 2 door 2000 blazer. update. 159db!

Thank you I have researched that design. Indeed it is suppose to be phenomenal with these drivers. That design is more time consuming then I care to devote to this. There are cut pieces available but I am not spending $75 plus shipping either. I modeled a 1.6^3ft net enclosure with two 2" ports tuned to 35hz. The ouput with 240wrms was more than a single 10" (max output isnt really a concern though). This design should play well between 30-50hz, right where I would like. I also have enough MDF laying around to build it. Thanks for suggesting it - DIY MP3 Radio
