Agreed, had an XD in another vehicle and loved it. Also just bought a jl hd 6channel and it's awesome! Where do you buy your JL gear at? I bought my amps directly from JL and my 13w6 from Sonic Electronics. I want another XD600/1 but want to find a cheaper price. I dont want to buy a black market copy or refurb though.

I think the components you selected would be a nice upgrade from factory. I have two JL Audio XD amps and I love them. Buying my third in the future.

I could have played the same song in my car or my other buddy's car and we wouldnt have the same effect. I think it may have to do with wavelengths(actual length of a wavelength) at certain freqs. Which from car to car it would be different lengths from the speaker to the person.

Over the past 18 years I have had countless audio systems. Most of them consisted of two 12" or two 15" and 500-1500w. There is one particular system that a neighbor had that I will never forget. He had a simple system, two Orion XTR 12" with a small cheap Kenwood 500w amp. His car was a three door, possibly it was a Gulf idk. Why I remember this system is because when the bass hits and when I/he was talking it sounded like we were talking through a fan. I have never been able to duplicate this effect. No matter how many subs or watts I had. Actually, I havent even sat in too many other cars that could either. What causes your voice to sound like you are talking through a fan? +145db?

Sell him the 12's and get the 13w6, run it (them) ported. I am running a 13w6 in 2.1^3ft tuned to 31hz. If you have room two13w6 would be very nice

Good decision on the MM alt. I battled with DC for almost a year. Their cs is down right horrible and I had nothing but problems with their alternators (the 190hp didnt even fit and the 270xp stopped working twice in less than 5 months). Let us know how the MM alt goes.

Man I wish I would have picked up a few of those Mag v3's! I haven't heard from the guy with the trade offer. Sounds like a fantastic driver!!!!! Guess I will stick with my 13w6 for now until something better is developed.

If I had this car I would get the JL Audio stealthbox for the 2010 up Mustang It has a 13w3 in it. Personally I wouldnt stick a box in the back. Keep it clean looking!
