  1. You gotta let me know how the RA does, looking to replace my Epic-160. No problem. IMO from everything I read, the RA is better than the Epic-160 for a number of reasons.
  2. Very nice product photos. I really dig the blue screen print on the amplifier end caps. I can not wait till my RA is shipped
  3. I love the orange and red bikes on the bottom, kinda like what I am getting. My fiance said no more sport bikes
  4. PM sent!! Just remember I charge by the minute!!
  5. Have heard about porting midbass in doors but seems it is not done very often. Will be tuned into this for sure!! I am going to be starting the doors this upcoming weekend. I am anxious and nervous I understand it is a bigger project, but if they are anything like the tweeter pods they should turn out nicely. Thanks sefugi. This will be my first attempt at fiberglass and vinyl. You should PM me your number so I can call you when I run into trouble Cool, I will need to look at your build log!
  6. Have heard about porting midbass in doors but seems it is not done very often. Will be tuned into this for sure!! I am going to be starting the doors this upcoming weekend. I am anxious and nervous I am shooting for 0.5^3ft tuned to 60hz. The mids will play high 50's to around 250hz. The only little issue with this is I am limiting the hpf for the mids to the high 50's which will also be the lpf setting for the subs. Hopefully everything blends in nicely.
  7. Woot woot. Start a build log
  8. I am going to be porting my midbass in my doors. Here are a couple vids of my midbass drivers
  9. Anybody want to guess what I would be doing with two 2" Precision ports?
  10. Looks good bro. Adjust the white balance on your camera
  11. Any update on this amp? I want one or two
  12. From what I have read the XP model is superior to any aftermarket alternator available for our passenger vehicle market. Step it down to a HP or Pro and then maybe you could start to compare to Mechman
  13. Thanks bro! yeah i definitely see i need to work on temperature settings. it's my first time using a wide angle lens and lightroom so bare with me lol Lightroom is a great tool. The lens correction feature is very easy to use. I am sure you will grasp it quickly. Check out Matt K. presets on lightroomkillertips.com they are fun to play with and can be useful to get the "look" you want. I like using Topaz software as well for some fun unique editing. These are good shots. Clarity, quality and exposure are good and I like the lens tilt Perfectly centered framed shots are mundane for car shows, good eye. YOU ARE THE MAN!!! THANK YOU!!! I can talk about photography all day I am happy that you see my posts useful Check out thephotoforum.com There are hundreds of excellent amateur and professional photographers there to learn from or just to share your photos with
  14. In our "world" of cheap high power amplifiers a high ouput alternator is never a waste of money imo. If you were only installing a small four channel or less than 500wrms the stock alt would be fine (assuming it works properly). A 270a alternator is not going to supply 270a to the amplifiers. There is a decent amount of vehicle draw as well. Taking your equipment into consideration get the alternator and keep your current batery setup as well. Even if you dont drive around at full blast 24/7 monitor your voltage. If it drops into the sub 12v range or lower consider adding another run of wire from battery to battery or a second alt

  16. Cool pics, a little overcooked but cool no-less.
  17. This is a great forum. No glitches for me.
  18. Alternator output is not dependent on battery location.
  19. This has nothing to do with the pulley. Check and see if the pins align on both wiring plugs. The two that go from the alt plug to the factory wiring plug.
  20. Duh that would be chit tons easier. I had s brain fart.
  21. That is their price. Alot of people really like Mechman and their are some that do not. IMO if you go cheap on an alternator it probably will not last long.
  22. I drive a Hyundai. It isnt fast enough to speed, especially up hill lol
  23. Looks like the charge wire to me. If you are completely unsure disconnect all + connections on the battery. Remove the nut holding the larger gauge wire to the alternator. Separate the wire so it is not touching anything(!). Reconnect the battery connections. Check for +12v at the wire. Disconnect battery + connections, reconnect the wire to the alternator stud. Reconnect battery + connections. Make sure the wire does not touch anything when it connections at the battery are connected. I do not see how that wire could be anything but the charge wire. When adding an additional charge wire you will simply connect it on the same stud the factory charge wire is on (after you verified the +12v).
  24. You have a factory ground on the alternator? Sounds like that is the charge wire not the ground.
