  1. This statement is the exact opposite of what it should be. I have laminated MDF with several types of plywood and OSB for use on baffles and never had any issues and in my part of the country it is easy to see 30-40 degree temperature changes in a matter of hours. If anything would cause cracking, that would, and none of the enclosures have had any type of failure.
  2. Yes, it can.
  3. While I don't believe it was UFO or anything like that. There are no military bases around here. The closest one is Grissom AFB, but that is pretty much nothing more than a museum now. Everything else is near Chicago, 2hours West.
  4. Keep us posted on any updates. Sound like some cool shit! Hmmm..............Might have been breaking the sound barrier.............How high above were they all? J I can't really say, but they felt like they were right next to me. Everything was so quiet except for their noise. It was so creepy, just like in a movie, the ominous silence right before the action happens and then boom, the flood of sound and action. Nothing on the news, nothing in the paper.
  5. If you don't have a picture to post, how will them PMing you get them a pic?
  6. Nice to see this side of the manufacturer. I remember back in the day when you bought AudioControl or LA Sound, they often had witty rhetoric in their product literature and even went as far as to silkscreen some humorous statements on the boards of some equipment.
  7. SO I just woke up to a boom. Looked outside and didn't see anything, then I heard jets, and I immediately know these are military jets. You can tell the difference in engine pitch. I go outside to see WTF is going on and 5 jets are hauling ass to the East and a couple minutes later, the sky is filled with helicopters. There had to be twenty of them, and they had this very ominous hum flying together, and they have spotlights just going in every direction. It was freaky. My brother-in-law was outside because he said his dog was going nuts and he said he hear this low whine, then saw a long blimp sized object heading West, then shoot straight up and take off East, and the jets and copters came just after. Fucking UFO shit going on around here. I didn't see the first thing that made the noise, but I swear those jets and choppers had to be out for something. I've never seen anything like it.
  8. NO.
  9. Just got done watching Tron Legacy. Not bad. Makes me miss the little man even more though.
  10. 4 days with no Gavin. . .
  11. You work for the government. If it's not half-assed, it doesn't work at all.
  12. I thought all your alts had a custom machined drive end?
  13. How about asking the man himself, Kevin?
  14. I was speaking in terms of competition as that is the the only theater in which "sound Quality" lives. Measurements don't measure quality, they measure quantity. That's the problem we keep running into in these debates. People take our type and terms to mean something different. When you take the measurements, you are measuring the sound, not the sound quality. When you throw that word in there, it makes everything subjective. No computers or numbers can ever give an indication of quality.
  15. It's dependent upon the judges(s).
  16. IIRC you were having GI issues as well. Try to get away from carbonated drinks. The carbonation will kill off digestive enzymes in your stomach. Trust me, you will feel better once you kick the pop. So weird! Carbonated water always eases the stomach for me! Carbonated water is good for you. Just like water, basically no different. The shit Ryan is referring to are the additives in soda that are bad, from sugar (or fake sugar) to the acid and so on. No worries with Co2 H20 I was instructed to even stay away from the carbonated water as well, of course I always got the store bought brand, but none of them had any additives according to the label. I don't know.
  17. That's just how wrong you are. We don't take any shit around here. There is no drama and no need to close the thread. Except for a troll, there is nothing warranting a close and everyone is having a nice discussion. Everybody likes to bitch and complain, but they all keep coming back.
  18. All new lines coming out, so they blow them out on Madisound and other dealers.
  19. Dayton Reference, peerless SLS or SDS if you can find them in that range, I think you could find something from Vifa in that range, Kicker RMB8s or SSMB8s. They don't make them anymore so you'd have to find them used of NOS. I could go on.
  20. I am seeing a lot of replacements for the gas lamps now. They are even making self-ballasting metal halides and LPS. I don't know why they bother though. LEDs will be all figured out and cheap enough by the time everyone finally gets switch over to the self-ballasting units. I also have a couple of stores that are going to get LED retrofits for the HPS parking lot lamps.

Trust me, you will feel better once you kick the pop. So weird! Carbonated water always eases the stomach for me! That's just what the doc told me. He also told me medication would take care of my issues and it's made them worse. I found a forum for people with GI issues and followed some of their advice and I've not been using the meds now for almost a month. Still not good, but tenfold better than when I was on Nexium.

  23. that's your current status......and validates my point exactly. Mine too. If OP's would spend a little time trying to make a thread useful then there would be no troubles, but that you can easily see if you've truly searched. This forum is about helping people not only with their question but understanding why so that they grow as a person. That requires effort on their part. please just delete my account................................... Bye bye! You will be missed. . . . .
  24. I think I'm going to get a smart phone or at least something with web capability so I can keep up on scores this year and watch games during lunch breaks.
