Had a couple nice gestures thrown my way today. While walking into the bar for lunch, we noticed some managers from one of the stores I work at. We spoke with them for a minute, then sat down and ate. Got ready to pay and the waiter told us the tab had been paid. That was nice. Walk into Subway tonight and order my food. While it's "toasting," a lady walks in looking tired as all hell. I insist she goes in front of me, but she refuses. So I told the girl to make both our sandwiches at the same time. She does. Goes to ring me up and again I insist the lady go ahead of me. She thanks me and then proceeds to pay for my sub. Now mind you, I got a footlong steak with double meat and bacon. It comes out to be over $15. She doesn't budge and I insist on paying for my own stuff, but she does, tells me, "merry christmas," and walks out the door. So now, here I am left astonished twice today with nothing to do. I want to return the favor, but there's nobody else in the store and I'm going straight home, so I get my wallet and break out a $20 and hand it to the girl working there. That still leaves me down one good deed. Maybe I won't stick it in the bitch's ass tonight.
