Classic GTi Article
My buddy's brother had one when I was in HS. It was boosted and it kicked ass. Second fastest car I rode in in HS. Would kill my turbo Cougar, but when I put the small block in my Cutlass, I had the fastest car in school. Wouldn't turn for shit though, and that little VW was a blast in the twisties!

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=279-179 ??Maybe?? Way too spendy. And these are better. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=275-030 The ND tweets in any variety are really great cheap drivers. I put a pair in my TaurASS before I sold it and they really impressed the hell out of me.

New PG amplifiers
They look okay. They still have that "made in China" look and feel to them. I want something old school Americana like we say in the late 80s, early 90s. Something with an oversized sink with huge fins running either way, but that's what I want to see. Something that you know is built like a tank just by look and touch. In the 90s, you knew you had a REAL amp when your hand slipped on the screwdriver and you peeled a couple layers of skin off your knuckles rubbing across the fins.

Lightweight and displacement yes, the way of the old traditional big block mountain motors, no. My V6 is a turd, but it is a lot of fun to toss around once it gets going. The extra weight off the front end and better balance more than makes it better to drive. Now combine that with some boost and you have double the pleasure. Displacement will always help, but at what cost?

weird why they just wouldn't throw in a loosely souped up eco boost and call it a done. It would have more power they the FI of the turbo. The EcoBoost is setup for transverse mounting. They don't have a casting yet for the trucks, so no way to get it into the Mustang economically yet. They use the trucks for pretty much all the testing for the larger engines. Ford is notorious for only doing what they need to sell cars. The EcoBoost in the Taurus will sell just because of the name, and the smaller cars will do well in their respective markets as well, but it just wouldn't make financial sense right now to install the boost in the Mustang. Don't worry though, someone will get ahold of the '11 V6 and it'll be boosted before you know it. That's the beauty of the Mustang. . . There are performance parts available for the cars before you can even buy them.

Hey Ryan, did you end up getting a 12V power supply for the Behringer or are running an inverter?

What kind of structure would have a resonance at that high a frequency? Small ones. We regularly work on nano-tubes which have interesting modes well into the >20MHz range. Obviously the structures we will excite acoustically are larger than those I knew it had to be something small, but the word structure brought something of significant size and mass to mind. I was trying to imagine a large object that would be affected by resonance that high. The only thing I could come up with was a large super-thin sheet of glass or crystal.

Your input on my component system
Care to tell the application that allows you the ability to play them as low (audibly) as you claim? They'll easily handle 60 watts. AS for experience, I have heard them in a couple installs and on a sound board (worthless), and for their price, I found them to be amazing.

No you don't. . . Unless you have them in a horn, they simply will not play that low. So which one is it? Where exactly do you or do you not filter the drivers? Apparently, even you don't know. To the original poster. . . Most of what these guys are talking about is for advanced users and extreme hobbyists. Much of it is proven in the world of Sound Quality competition, but that competition means jack shit. It is essentially a popularity contest with biased judges. That's how it's been since it's inception. Think about it. You set up your equipment in a way you find pleasing to your ears. You take it to a competition and a "judge" tells you it sounds like shit. Now do you still think your car sounds good? All that matters is that you like it. I say buy what you can afford (the 720PRS set is a GREAT choice by the way) and do whatever your abilities allow to get it to sound as good as you can with what you have. That's the beauty of this hobby. It's about self-gratification, not what others think.

I don't see a clear winner in the AFC. Sure people will pick the Colts due to their record, but I don't think they'll make it out of the second round. As for the NFC, I know NO is undefeated, but I don't think anyone can match the weapons and D in Minnesota.

Circuit Breakers vs Fuses.
Technically a fuse can fail closed. IT will not pass the needed current but will still show continuity. That's why you always test a fuse for voltage instead of continuity.

180+ posts is that good for a whore job? back in the gap it wasn't uncommon for the night crew to spill through 40+ pages. and they might not even be pure wh0ring like I was. I guess that is what makes this such a great place to be. Night crew still never kicked like we did during the day. It was easy for use to kick through 100 pages in a couple hours.

Doubt it. 90% of Chrysler's have the amp located under the dash, but that vehicle is basically a rebadged Benz. . . They probably have a passive network on the driver. PM Vladd, he has a Crossfire.
