  1. YOu do run the risk of draining one battery from running another in parallel and possibly wiping both out. You also run the risk of shortening the battery life of one or both as well.
  2. Hump day.
  3. I wouldn't say a lot, but there is a definite savings. one full sheet of BB is 75-78lbs, where as MDF is 90. I just got a bunch of different weights on things this past weekend. Looking to get some poplar myself which is 52lbs for a full sheet. Bad thing is, it's $76 a sheet.
  4. Here's my glorious day. Wake up at 5:30 to leave early for work out of town. Leave and my car is acting up. Idles fine in park, dies everytime I come to a stop and a load is on it. Five minutes away from home and I have a 1.5 hour drive ahead of me, I'm listening to Bob and Tom and all of a sudden I hear this horribly loud pop, the HU cuts out, and seconds later comes back on. One problem. . . The sub is the only thing I can hear and let me tell you how bad it sounds to listen to 56Hz and below. So, I turn the stereo off and proceed on for another 1.45 hours listening to the wind come through my shitty ass weatherstripping at 70MPH, all the while my car dies everytime I hit the brakes. Get to work and this manager at this K-mart store is the most annoying bitch in the entire world. She just talks, and talks, and talks, and talks, and talks, and talks. . . . . . . I wanted to shoot her. Day over, get home, car still dying, go to diagnose the problem. Well, the cheap ass Profile I bought to compliment the sub amp so I could sell this POS car without putting any more money into it BLEW THE FUCK UP. I bought this thing 2 weeks ago, installed it Saturday, and today it takes a shit. But, not only does it take it shit, it takes some victims with it. The entire front stage, AND the rear preouts on my Eclipse. Real fucking nice. Now I have to spend $10 putting new speaks in. Bullshit. And did I ever seal those damn woofers in the door. I never planned on removing them. Just my fucking luck.
  5. Fuck that.
  6. Done yet?
  7. Well, being a tri-level, it won't exactly have a door.
  8. Anyone have cedar planks in their house? The actual natural aromatic planks. The basment in my new pad has stupid ass paneling that has to go and I'm thinking cedar would look great, but I'm worried about it smelling up the whole house.
  9. Ever seen that movie Copland? It's like that around here. Every other driveway has a cop car or two in the driveway ALL THE TIME.
  10. About as much as that Firebird.
  11. Just took the Cobra around the block and tore up a bit of the neighborhood. Can't do much, there is about 25 cops in the subdivision past the corner. Bastards!
  12. You must not watch ESPN much huh?
  13. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  14. X2!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. If you like it. You should be able to find a late gen F-body for slightly more and it will have the LT1 versus the standard TPI. TPI engines weren't bad, but a far cry from the LT and LS series, especially in the 305.
  16. 50Hz is a ~20 foot long wave length, it makes no difference where the drivers are loaded. You want it louder, tune it higher or add more woofers. How does it not make a difference? Cabin response (tranfer function), cancellation, and reflections have to be taken into effect. If that were the case, you could throw a woofer anywhere in the vehicle and have the same readings no matter the placement.
  17. I'm awaiting your cabin response measurements.
  18. No damage. I am going to attemp to disaasemble the woofer with zero affect on any moving assembly pieces.
  19. So today it got up to 50. Was all happy, the sun was shining, had a morning blow job, work flew by. . . On the way home I'm thinking I'll clean up the ToreAss today. Well, no sooner do I pull in to the driveway and turn the ignition back, then BAM, I see a ton of smoke coming out from under the engine bay. Pops the hood, get out, and realize it's steam, not smoke. Immediately I think head gasket, but the car was not running hot at all. Start the car back up and hear this awful grinding noise, go to the engine and it's the water pump. Sum bitch just ate itself to pieces. So, I go about getting it off, no problem. Get a new pump, go to put it on, notice this stud that did not have a nut on it, so I found a nut for it. Install the pump halfway, then go to put the nut on the stud, and low-and-behold, it's not long enough. WTF???!!! SO the stud was actually a bolt that had been broken off in the timing cover. Spent 2 hours getting that bitch out, another 30 minutes re-tapping the hole, and let me tell you, that was a bitch, and 4 hours later, I was finished. 1 hour job easily becomes 4 hours. Fuck that. Now I'm dead, want a beer, it's at the woman's, and I'm too pooped to hit the bowling alley with the homies.
  20. I just bought a brand new sub just to recone it.
  21. Eastwood.com has some videos available, but I can tell you from firsthand experience, it's a bitch. The first 12 years of my life were spent with my father in his body shop after school. Learned a ton, and still not enough. Prep is everything. Patience is key, and just like anything else, it is a talent.
  22. HAPPY FRIDAY!
  23. Macrom was good shit back in the early nineties. Then they disappeared, so I would assume this new Macrom is a buyout.
  24. GOT THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!
