  1. I love a good EBS alignment. Big enclosure, LOW tune. Great efficiency and an exagerrated low-end with a trade-off for mostly poor musicality. Not always though.
  2. I'd go with the multiple drivers corner-loaded with as much power as you can afford. Elias is right on track with the room size. And don't be mistaken that the AVA will have more lowend than the Atlas. It's all dependent upon application and room characteristics. Smaller drivers properly applied can have extraordinary effects in the LFE department.
  3. Dayton DVCs, Reference, or Titanics. Well below your price, great performers, but they don't fit your impedance requirements. With 800 watts he's not too concerned with SQ. Good sound maybe, but SQ, not so much. SQL is more like it.
  4. You are being sarcastic correct?
  5. Peace out foos!
  6. I'd pimp the hell out of it.
  7. Compression is a bitch.
  8. I figured it was beastly enought to almost be a comparison.. Wow i didnt know it was that close... I mean one 15 RL-p is half the price, thats why i compared the two, because they would be the price of 1 mag...I figured one mag could compared to One RL-S, who knows either way, youve definatley helped me make up my mind...Thanks... The RL-P is more than half the price of one Magnum. They are cheaper than the Magnums, but not by 100%. The Mag was never intended to be a "budget" driver. It was designed and built with a no compromises attitude and that's just what it does. Personally, I think the driver is a bargain. I am biased of course, but that is not without merit. The Mag made it's way into my heart by shoving aside a Brahma, XXX, and W7. All damn fine drivers in their own respect.
  9. They can't even sound remotely good. Theres no magic pole vent.
  10. YOu can't really do a comparison in this instance. You have double the displacement potential with dual drivers versus a single. There's a clear advantage. Now, put that single Mag up against a single RL-P and you have a valid question. Problem is, I don't know that there are people with experience with both drivers who can offer an unbiased opinion.
  11. So what did I miss with the spamming last night? I knew something was up when I had 3 PMs. Nobody likes me that much.
  12. Nick owes me an email **cough, brochure, cough**
  13. That's where deleted posts go. You can futher delete them from that section if you want. Ryan probably double posted and removed the second post himself.
  14. Steve, I love you!
  15. I can't relate. Yes, they are good at dropping the package at the door and knocking or ringing the bell and hastely making their escape, but everytime there's been even a hint of moisture, both my FedEx and UPS persons will wrap the package in plastic. They good peeps!
  16. SO, I did the woman last night for about 2 straight hours. I can't do that anymore. I'm just exhausted today and my legs feel like spaghetti. It's amazing how quickly your "youth" is gone.
  17. Don't you have a Stratus or something similar? I know it was hell fitting my buddy's 10W6s in his. We literally had to pry his trunk openings to get the enclosure to fit. On another note, I personally wouldn't even bother with IB if you are looking for output. Even two won't get you the SPL potential of one driver in the vented enclosure. In fact, given the immense Vas of the AVAs, your performance IB even with one is going to be more like that of a large sealed leaky enclosure, let alone a pair. I'd just try to construct a sealed enclosure for them. Any chance on building in the trunk?
  18. Thanks man! Hopefully, once the car is paid off, I can get a lock on this. Only thing left will be the CC and with me able to devote pretty much half of my income there, it should go away rather quickly. I guess I just need to get off my butt and try and smooth things over with the creditor. I always have to learn the hard way.
  19. IMO, DF factors are useless unless you know how they came about the number. It's like power ratings in essence. There are a number of ways to test power and the same is true for the DF. Ever wonder how you can see an amp with a damping factor of 80, then a similar one of 1000? How can there be such a large difference? Rating games. Who does it properly? Who does it correctly? In fact, what IS the correct way to determine this spec? I'm sure there are many arguments for this.
  20. I tell you what, once I'm clear, I'm not buying a THING without having the money first.
  21. Thanks. It's a female dog. I do have aproblem paying bills on time, but that's just because I procrastinate, but this has been an ongoing problem since I lost my job a few years ago. No matter what I do, I cannot dig myself out of the hole. The car is months away from being paid off, and after that is done, I can concentrate on the CC and be debt free.
  22. No new car audio for me for a while.
