  1. I would venture to say they are a bout middle of the line. I have seen some cheap practices used on building the amps, and of course the standard stamped frames and other little industry standard parts used, but Supa is indeed correct.
  2. :cough: SALE! :cough: :cough:
  3. I know, but I didn't want him to get everything set in place then just wire them up any old way and then run into a problem.

No link, contact Matthew at [email protected]
  5. It's not a Tube vs. SS argument. Let's not get on that subject. I do love the Butlers though, and someday, when money is good, I'll step over to your side of the hobby.
  6. I didn't see you answering the original question. IIRC, you shouldn't worry about reverse wiring them, I've done that before- makes the fan blades spin backwards. =p Actually he should worry about reversing the polarity. That is unless he wants the fans to pull not push.
  7. From Thoraudio on SIN.

Just got done installing the 6.5" components. If you are looking for midbass, build an enclosure. They do not fare well IB in the door. The tweets also seem very timid. This could be due to the off-axis mount, but they are angled well. Who knows. I have 30 watts going to each side and I am able to bottom out the mid with some volume. Can't complain for $15 though.
  9. LOUDER????!!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Bassheads.
  10. Same here. I do have a complaint though. The cheap connectors that came with the components were crimped horribly and the wire was shorting out costing me 10 extra minutes of my life troubleshooting.
  11. I thought you were done? Again, you continue balabbering your OPINION. I thought I made it clear when I said that you are wrong to assume that EVERYONE judges sound quality by their ears, and it is WRONG of you to say that the ear is the "ultimate" judge. Science and technology would be worthless if we all depended upon our senses to give us the truth about everything. See here, you clearly show your error, not mine. It is an OPINION. How can it be wrong? It can't. If that's how I feel, you cannot tell me I am wrong. And the ear is the ultimate judge. Take an RTA, multimeter, whatever tools you want to use and tune your system with those scientific measuring devices. Everything comes out perfect according to the instruments, yet when you sit in the vehicle, it is NOT perfect and you feel the need to change something. Now tell me that the science is not flawed and your ear(s) do not bear burden on the outcome. Take two identical amps, set up the same way. Everything is equal. I listen to both and determine a difference in sound between the two. It is believed to be impossible, yet I tell a difference. How can one tell me I do not? Science may be able to tell you WHY I notice a diffence, but it cannot tell you that I CAN or CANNOT. Prove otherwise.
  12. Good luck with that CF. I don't have the cash to waste on experimenting with it.
  13. The emos are everywhere.
  14. Get in touch with Jamie, he can help you.
  15. Don't ask me, I just talk out of my a$$ like the immature little boy I am.
  16. MattB and Eautotrim.com Big thumbs up here. Awesome communication, excellent help, lightning fast shipping, wides selection, good direction! What more could you ask for.
  17. I have nothing to take from this. Other than you are clearly trying to make me look foolish which you;ve not succeeded in. That simple. You have proven no points nor shown anywhere where I have made a mistake for me to correct myself on, so I do not know why you continue to try and make me feel like I should "stand up and be a man." My point in a nutshell is no matter what science says, your ear will be the ultimate judge. If you don't like how it sounds, you are going to change it. I've said that many times and that's what I will stick to. Now what out of that is incorrect? Thank You.
  18. Yup.
  19. I'm done with this. Clearly niether one of us understands each other, so I'll just drop it here.

    Titties!!!
  21. ::Blah::
  22. Kent, noone disagreed with you either. MAtter of fact, the clay thing just happens to take up some space as a side effect. Hell, I don't even know if it is resonance, it was just a guess as I've had this exact same problem a couple times already myself. As for applying the clay, you are correct. Don't be afraid to try some on the frame of the dirver as well.
  23. You stoop as low as insulting my intelligence and comprehension.. See. Here is YOUR problem right here. You're making assumptions and reading into what I type how YOU want to see it, not as it's literal sense. If you don't understand me, there's nothing else I can do to make you. It's as simple as that. Nowehere in there did I insult you. That's what you ASSUME I meant and there is your problem with me. There it is again, making an assumption. If I though you were an idiot or unintelligent, I would say it. Simple as that. As for, "making a stand, " I am merely replying, simple as that. If someone addresses me, I respond. Seriously, WTF dude? What makes you think I have something against YOU or am singling you out. So what if I disagree with everything you post, not like I do, but even so, the entire point of the forum is to add input or participate in a discussion. If I disagree with something, I am going to post my thoughts, no matter who it is. Yes, I am being quite the child. Really, I think I have laid that out fairly well in my previous posts. I don't know what else to say or another possible way to convey it. To me it makes perect sense and I cannot see why don't understand what I'm saying. I have no beef with you, or anyone else here for that matter. I made no generalizations, started no arguments or made any personal attacks. I don't know why you continue to put words in my mouth or make assumptions that I am trying to convey a different message than what I have typed. Just read the posts. If you think it's something personal, stop right there and skip over it, because I'll tell you right now, you're on the wrong track.
  24. Eh, I wouldn't compromise that joint unless it was absolutley necessary. Is it hitting the cone or the spider? If it's hitting the spider, it really wouldn't matter as far as mass is concerned. If it is hitting the cone, I'd do the felt, but put another pad 180 degrees opposite of the first one to equal out the added mass and prevent the moving assembly from coming misaligned.
  25. Man, I have this killer freaking cold.
