  1. thanks! just wondering because all of my XS Power 14v batts came in a box with the two arrows pointing up and the top saying "this side up only" so i wasn't sure if it would damage the battery in any way.
  2. im really not sure man, i dident even know that running 14v would put me in M4. so what class would that put me in drive by? That's if i even do it, sucks we have to drop about $75 every show. All of the wood came in today, sub box starts up friday morning.
  3. quick question, Is that safe to run the battery laying on its side like that? i was under the impression that a battery should never be laid on it's side?
  4. thanks Farris !! actually i have no idea what class i will be in just yet, here are a few more pics of the trunk, many more to come in the next 7 days
  5. just a few new pics of the wiring done today
  6. Fav pick up line/ dumb shit i have heard ," sweetheart your so beautiful.. i would crawl through 10,000 miles of broken beer bottles just to smell your fart through a C.B. Radio"

  8. nice what type vehicle are those bad boys going in? also what are you using to power that AQ 3500 ? keep us updated on your build !!
  9. Yes, it is a unibody. Most new vehicles outside of trucks have a unibody construction. They will have a front "k-member" or subframe which bolts to the rest of the body but which supports the engine and front suspension.
  10. thanks everyone, i will do my best to keep progress pics updated daily!!
  11. Here are a few pics of the progress, we got started a day late but this is what was done today its already apparent there is a weight issue, just all of the equipment inside the car alone is already weighing it down not even including all of the wood going in. Ive been looking at new struts and springs, not looking for anything real expensive, just know it needs to be fixed, if anyone has any ideas i would love to hear it.

keep in mind that what ever amp you choose to power 2 15 BTL's it will most likely be over 1,500 watts rms, which means you should upgrade the electrical system. 0 guage wire, H.O. alternator, extra battery( look at XS Power) keep your voltage up and your amp will thank you Here are a couple of brands that i personally like. Sundown , sound digital,Cadence audio, welcome aboard, whatever you get keep us updated with pics!!

  14. DC alt.??? i cant find a h/o alt. for my truck for under 300 and i dont have the money for that... H.O. alt's are expensive this is true, trust me i know first hand. Last month i went looking for the biggest one that would still bolt on to my car, called everyone, Ohio Generator(sales guy was very nice and took his time explaining to me what i need) they dident make one big enough for what i needed so he sent me to Matt at Mechman, he was very knowledgeable and explained the benefits of running 14v batts vs 12v so i think the 275 amp Mechman i choose was about 400 plus extra for the attached voltage regulator. the batts were about 250 each and because i bought 5 of them he pretty much covered shipping for me, so thats the route i took The MOST IMPORTANT part of your electrical system for running the power you need would be a good quality high output alternator ! (im pretty sure everyone can agree on that) Buying lots of batts does nothing if you cannot charge them properly I would call Mechman (ask for Matt) and see what they can do for you also, excessive amperage alts, DC power (which was a nightmare for me trying to contact them back and forth) and Ohio generator but be prepared to spend sum cash because like most everything you def pay for what you get. your pretty much going to shell out at least $300.00 any way you go,but this is the only way. Just be VERY careful about knockoff cheap alternators and always request paperwork or videos so they can prove what they say.
  15. 2 sundown 4500's and 1 sundown 100.4, thanks and i just set up a build log, so all new pictures will be posted there
  16. thanks everyone, took me a little over 2 months to get everything together and is seriously killing my bank account!! everything is finally coming together on a side note just so everyone knows, everything you see (including my car) was paid for by myself only busting my ass off serving tables without putting a dollar on credit!! i work hard for everything i have and i saved every penny throughout this process. Im just a guy with an audio obsession...
  17. so the time has come to start my build log, 02 Monte Carlo SS with 4 15" F.I. 19. Alex glad to see you on here! are you changing anything for casper in feb? i just found out about no demos while at the show??? that pretty much kills the show
  20. Thank you, that was exactly what i was wanting to know. my electrical system should be fine, I just wish there was room for another h.o. alternator under the hood.
