You will have less distortion running 1500rms at 2ohms and the amp will run cooler. Stay away from 1ohm unless you are going to run a sundown,audioque,crescendo or incriminator audio amps. 1ohm just makes them run to hot.

I would run the sub at 2ohms not as hard on the amp or speaker unless setup properly.If you do go 1ohm I wouldnt run over the 1750rms power rating of the sub.

What ohms are you going to run it at?

I have only heard the Xcons, but you cant believe how great these sound for the money

I think it would be less confusing if a label wasnt made till the sub was built.

Factory wire size is 10 gage.Per audio que.I agree with Duran 12 is plenty for that power range.

I tried calling the number on their website and it said it was disconnected. That number should work it did last week.

On the HDC series it was 8 gage.Or call DJ at audio que.

What is your goal with the system? I personally would not switch. To me the Xcon is the best sounding high powered subwoofer. If you are just going for loud there are other subwoofers that could probably do that better than the Xcon.

Get someone more knowledgeable or to an audio store so they can check it out.
