  1. Thanks man. A wreck on the highway this morning added an extra 30 minutes to my drive. An hour and a half without going into protect. Still nice and hot, but I'm pretty sure pushing that 600 watts out of the bridged channel has a lot to do with it. It's never going to see more than 100-150 per channel once it gets devoted to the front stage. I did add about an inch of lift off the floor yesterday. That should help some. Like I said, it made it an hour and a half this morning so hopefully I have a pretty decent balance on it for now. I was actually thinking about that yesterday. Is it safe to use a pc fan it? I can get all those I want from the IT dept at work from old computers.I'm actually thinking at this point maybe I should quit waiting for the Ethos to install a sub amp and go ahead with a temp install to the DCONs while I'm waiting. I'm pretty set on a Soundqubed 2200 for the amp. I know I could run the DCONs at 4 ohms and get 500 to them. OR....since it has an input sensitivity range up to 8 volts would it be safe to wire down to 1 ohm and run with the gains low? I have 4 volt preouts. Is there enough difference between 4 and 8 volts to keep the power down to 7-800 watts? Sure anything to move air across the amp.
  2. Add a aftermarket cooling fan to blow air across it. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_39030_Xscorpion-TF5.html
  3. If you put those speakers your buying in the front doors. I would just do away with the rear speakers. You have the subs for bass.
  4. They have a great selection of subs to chose from,

I think you will be happy for the money as long as you get it in a good designed sub box. But for a economy sub I don't think you can beat the ssa dcon for overall performance.

Now that this sub has some play time on it. It sounds great for the money. It can really slam.
  9. I had a hemi !
  10. thank you ! I love all the SSA subs I've tried : Icon, Xcon, but the Zcon is by far the one I prefer. of course ! :-) :-) I have used all of ssa's subs except the evil. And I agree with you on the quality and performance of their subs.
  11. Very nice install and I love those zcon subs.
  12. Do you have the big three done?
  13. How do you have the positive from front to rear and yes I would ground the rear battery with as short of wire as possible. I don't like to go more then 2 feet. Also could be the amp? Any pics you could upload?
  14. I hooked this hds210 to my amp and then adjusted the gain and ssf correctly. I then played it as loud as I could with no distortion. That's how I break subs in. Never had to baby it. Never burned one up yet and I have done a lot. Not all songs are recorded the same, so you will have to use the volume knob on some tunes.
  15. What do you have to play them? Or did you mean after you have all you stuff?
  16. Thanks for the website. No problem man....good info there Well this project will be put off due to cash flow for now.
  17. Have you heard this shit from this forum? Because you seem to be a newbie. You need to calm down. Their are better choices like jay-cee gave you, but you can use what you have.
  18. You can lay agm batteries on their side if you need to.
  19. Looking great so far ! I'm glad "Q" got you going with the pics,
  20. Thanks for the website.
