How many amps does your alternator put out? Also is that deep cycle inside the trunk or under the hood? Do you have the rear battery grounded to the chassis also?

Yes it is and still on the sundown 3kCool I have a 2009 Jeep liberty with a 12" zcon on 1500 watts rms.It gets Very loud! Yeah i love my zcon but im not sure what i want to do for my next setup. I was thinking 2 zcon 12s or 4 xcon 10s on a crescendo 5500 but its hard to get the response i want in winisd with those, so im not sure. I would love to do two zcon 12's on a better amp. If I could fit the box in the space I have.

Good luck electrical problems are hard to diagnose without being there.

but once i turn on the a/c the load should turn it on regardless Yes so I would think you have a regulator issue. Or a alternator one.

I think that might be because it is a better battery and the regulator doesn't think the others need to be charged. Just a guess.

Try a clamp meter first if you have one. To see how much that old amp is drawing.

What size and type is that sub? Is it still the 18 zcon?

Ask for help on how to set your gain. I am not good at explaining it. Maybe start a new thread asking about it.

There is away to set it properly, but you need trained ears.

x2. You need to learn how to set your gain properly!Also your ssf filter etc.

It may help some but even high output alternators dont charge much at idle.

When you say they get brighter when you rev the engine are you at idle before you rev it up?

So you are using two channels for the doors and bridging the other two for the sub? Could those speakers be 6 x 9 s?
