I have an N3, and it sounds just fine to me. Sound quality is objective, to Richard Clark I'm sure my N3 sounds like crap. The Supergauss woofer would excel in a daily scenario though. If weight or space is a problem, the N3 would win. Do you see what I'm getting at Opry? You asking which woofer is best does not help get your question answered. ^^^

^^^ To the OP: doubling either cone area or power causes a 3 db increase, but this is just a generalization and is not alway the case. Usually doubling power is less efficient than doubling cone area.

Should be a noticeable difference, the 18" btl will have more power and more motor force than ur ssd, the only way to see how much of a difference is to try it, theoretically is should be twice as loud

The btl wont have the cone area to compete with the ssd, maybe if you buy the btl then recone it to an 18"

If you get the icon you can run it with the power you would have used for a dcon, then when the funds are available you will be able to upgrade your electrical to accomodate more power. Icon will give you a chance to upgrade.
What diameter? 2 6" diameter aeroports, i didnt calculate the length needed but there are calculators for that, stefanhinote just made one on here for multiple aero ports
seems like a realllly small port, might wanna go with aero ports to save volume
