it appears as though the original coil is a 2 layer, i'm leaning toward just buying a couple assasins if this looks to be too much of a pain thanks for all your effort, this is why I will send you all my money from now on....lol

well finally coil ID: 2.477 coil OD: 2.65 And like Scott said that uses pretty much all of the gap. I have the soft parts here in front of me if you need anything else. Almost forgot this is the standard model with the pole vent. They also made an "A" model that did not have a pole vent, not sure if the coil is the same but mtx has most info archived on thier site

at least i'm not the only one....I've got two 8000 10's with broke tinsels, had spoke with scott about reconing them into 12's a few months back. Now i'm leaning toward 15"s Scott, if i were to take one appart what measurments would you need me to get? I have a caliper and am not afraid to use it.

All of you bitching about the date. I have seen scott say this is exactly why he doesn't like hype or giving dates, cause things happen, thats life. IIRC the date was given as a roundabout because everyone kept asking for one. Would you rather have a half-assed sub now or wait a month(or whatever) for everything to be perfected?

Thats a small table...I run a 5x10 for a sign company. While i have cut box pieces on the table, I had never thought about stacking like that dude did.. Looks like i'm gonna be doing a lot of reading and math today...
