  1. Still open
  2. 180.9 cm^2
  3. You would need to be @ 8 ohms bridged or 4 ohms stereo - but either way, they would work well.
  4. Damn these things are sexy... Just got them.
  5. Looks like they should be coming in today - so most likely the pre-orders will ship tomorrow.
  6. Two more used 1500s available.
  7. Sure is - just like the new SAZ / SAX heat-sink just with 5mm fins rather than 10mm fins.
  8. They are only available in 10s, but yah, a bunch would be cool
  9. Sale still going on.
  10. Open until June 7th!
  11. Bit more information on this guy: Power Supply Section: 12x TO-220 Case Transistors - rated maximum power dissipation of 2400 watts total Output Section: 8x TO-3P Case Transistors - rated maximum power dissipation of 2400 watts total --- So lets just say it is a bit over-built for a 1200-watt amplifier. But just to re-iterate - it was not made for 1/2 ohm operation, so don't do it. Protection will kick in or fuses will blow. Higher powered parts were chosen for long term reliability purposes.
  12. I might sell five a year
  13. A closer look shows it to be about the same: 2x 1500s @ 1 ohm (this equals 1/2 per amp) = 3740 watts 1x 1500 @ 1/2 ohm = 1890 watts (x2 = 3780 watts) So the two strapped together produced 20 watts less each - which is trivial and one can assume may as well be a difference of zero.
  14. All of the sale amps are BNIB. I replied to your e-mail as well.
  15. I find time here and there My girlfriend does get mad at me for being on the computer so much (like right now) *laughs*
  16. Yep, either way there will still be at least a few hundred more 1000Ds sold as they stand even if I do change it.
  17. Try to LMK soon, it looks like these are going to be gone FAST.
  18. Yep, it is 1 ohm stable and does around 1100 watts actual power. --- Earthman, The dilemma is this... the lower power rated amp would cost more, so it doesn't make much sense. I suppose I will wait to do anything until I can try to develop a smaller sized PCB with the new build house so I can stick with one product to cover that segment.
  19. The reason I bring it up is that the 800D "large case" would be 50-100 dollars less MSRP price. I imagine that would appeal to many people vs. the small case model (eg: current model).
  20. *laughs* How would a 100.4 and 1000D in the same case be small foot-print ? Would be huge.
  21. *laughs* Very true Overall I'm very pleased with the results of the 1200D and the 800D proto. It seems that the 800D prototype size may eliminate it as a release candidate unless I kept the existing 1000D design alive along side as a small alternative. The "larger" amp, physically, would be a good bit less expensive, though.
  22. What power range is that ? I want to do a 5-channel in 2009 - it's just not something I can do near term (eg: this year).
  23. Oh, I have not forgotten! You are gonna nearly wipe me out of these puppies Once you pick yours up I'm going to start the second production run.
