Yes, the SAZ and SAX amps are rated at 12.8 volts. The SAE are rated at 13.8 volts.

		sundowns 1500 vs kicker 1500

Nice try... I'll send some up to someone who knows how to work a gain knob... which apparently nobody in attendance at that testing would recognize one if they saw it.

Staying where it is, although I am updating the crossover ranges on the next run on the 100.2 and 100.4 to allow more flexibility. Eventually the 100.4 will get 24 dB slopes (that will be a while).

Any way you slice it... developing a new board is extremely expensive. And yah... I don't know what their problem is with my products!

It is something I want to do later on for sure. I need to get some serious engineering done to accomplish that so I'm going to have to wait to get myself more established. Just got myself an enterprise quality color laser printer... so I'll be mailing out Sundown brochures soon

		saz1500d @1.5 ohm

I would say it probably does between 1300-1400 watts @ 1.5 ohms. Maybe even 1500, but I haven't benched mine at that high of an impedance. Correct, it will produce around 1300 watts @ 12.8 volts @ 1.5 ohms.

It is quite likely that the Z series will only carry my very large amps in the future... as my upcoming SAE amps will be *very* good

It means the 10s will be flatter and sound better ported. The 12" model tends to have a large peak ported.

Indeed... I don't want too much overlap. 99% of people that buy 1000 watt amps don't need them to do 1/2 ohm or 18 volts Buy a big boy for that

		Sundown Audio SD-1 "Blowout" Sale

They work in TINY enclosures... 99% of the people that bought them before the close-out sale used them in truck boxes. 0.5 ft^3 with some polyfill is no problem... could even go a hair smaller with a denser poly stuffing. my biggest concern is i'm a big guy and i need all the room i can get in that truck of mine. . . if i go with three of them, i can make a box that will give them about .48 ft^3 each, but if i go for 4 of them its closer to .38 ft^3 each. . .and thats if i put them in one common chamber. . . i might be able to go slightly bigger, but i'm thinking only .1 or .2 ft^3 each at the very most. . . the price you pay for being a large man and loving to drive mini trucks i guess. . . 0.48 is absolutely fine with just a little stuffing. 0.38 can be done but would require around a pound of poly per woofer... IMHO, the Qtc would still be a hair too high. I'd advise going with three and the larger box per woofer.

Indeed. Now they are going to be used in home audio in those PE boxes. I think they are .8 cf and you didn't mention them needing any polyfill. 0.8 is big enough that Poly isn't needed. They already have a 0.690 Qtc in that size. If you prefer an even lower Qtc you can stuff some poly in there if you like

The 10" models do spec better ported. Yes, two 10s will have more output than one 12.
