Yes stock 130 amp alternator. IV never had a problem out of it and all the sudden poof it's dead. Before it squeeled, the voltage was at a steady 13.8v so it didn't seem like it was under a lot of stress. Nope regulare excelleration and it was 72 outside. I'm guess it just finally had enough of the aq3500 and just quite. I just went and drove my truck around the block with everything off and the voltage seemed fine. Steady 14-14.2v. I didn't bother turning the system on though

well i was at a stop light with the system on about 1/4 the way up so not drawing much power. my volt meter was reading 13.8-14V constent. then when i took off from the stop light i cranked her back up to around 3/4 volume ( slowly increased volume) and i heard a loud squeel from under the hood and everything shut off ( HU,amp subs, ect. ) my volt meter was going nuttsssss. it went from 14V down to 12.1 in a milla second and eveything was powered off so nothing was drawing power besides the truck running. so now i have to find a replacement alt with hardly any cash... im F'd in the A big time now.

i will not be building the box myself or i would :/ the last box i built for my zcon 15 turned out horrible and a waist of money. but as of now, im doing subs forward, port up with about 2.5-3 cubes each ported and tuned at 34hz. that sound good to everyone? lol if so, my box will be built for these by the end of the week. my local audio shop guy will be doing the work. he did a box for my hcca 12 and it turned out great! he does all proper bracing and everything. he said he will built it and carpet it so it looks like the box was made for my truck lol. cant wait!!!

yeah shipping sucks.... but you will be very pleased with ur zcon sir. your going to like the way it sounds... i guarantee it

ok guys, its time to get some plans going for this box. im using 2 12" ssa zcons and pushing them with a audiopipe 3k (ONLY UNTIL I CAN AFFORD A BIGGER 4K+ AMP) so its not my perminant amp here fellas. i took my max dimensions tonight and used a box calculator and i have 6.81 cubes to work with. as for tuning, im not really sure. i like my lowwss (30hz or so) but i want to be able to throw up decent numbers. i was thinking 34-35hz maybe?? not really sure. thats why im here asking you guys for help on this so i dont waist my money.

lol had to man. i taking the cash i getting from the deal and putting it all into a nice ass box and ill still have a solid 2600watts to give them until i can afford a nice 2ohm amp. good to see ur still around haha havent heard from u in awhile

anyone have a good idea on cF for each sub i should shoot for and at what hz to tune the new box to? i was thinking 2.5-3cubes each tuned at 32hz???? just a idea

Its to big lol. I just traded my $150 aq3500.1 for a massive audio 3k (3k@2ohm) and 250 cash. So now I have a amp for them, and I also have cash for a nice custom box. I'm going to save $400 or so and Ttade the massive and cash for a nice big 2 ohm amp. Hopefully before slammology in June

my zcon 15 were nice and shinny copper looking ( i know there aluminum) but these are darkkk lol i put that 12 box i had in the video into my truck and that box is a lot bigger than i expected so im taking it out and putting the box they came with back in ( about 1.5cubes each ported :/ )

I'd like to learn how to recone but not on a sub worth this much lol I don't want to screw up a nice sub ya know? And ya I may just jb weld the basket atleast to last till after slammology in June. Then maybe after that ill recone them. Its gonna cost some cash lol

I can recone them into 15s for you, for a price $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Edit* Before anyone hates, me and Lantz live 10 minutes away from eachother. It'll save him a nice chunk of change not having to ship them. lol yes it will. but if i have u (allen) redo them to 15's, will i have to use just any old 15" baskets and recones? if i can buy 2 ssa 15" baskets with 2 ssa 15" recones, i say lets do it. maybe wall socket one??? lol jk jk .......

***update*** one of the 12's has a cracked backet... and not just a little crack either. its doing fine in the box and it holding up fine. should i attempt to gorilla glue it or see if mark can do something?? maybe send both 12's in and have them redone to 15's?? just a idear

no its jonnie something. he lives just outside lexington. he just bought 2 sundown NS v2 15's and somehow managed to stuff them in his trunk. also just installed dual alternators and running close to 6k on them cant wait for a demo

ohh and no not even trade, i gave $150 along with my 15 and the ported box. not bad

i was just informed that the origional buyers of these 12's had the running .5 ohm on a saz4500........ lol that explains it haha. and yeah i got that box when i bought 2 12" mtx 9500's like 2 years ago. its actually pretty decent in person.

yes sir i am lol im only like 2 hours north of you in cincinnati lol me and my buddy from lexington with 2 15" NS v2's are meeting up and crusing up to indy together. cant wait to see what numbers i can lay down with these

now if i can magically turn these into 15's ill have my dream system ( a dream system that i could actally afford someday)

yes it was a sad day letting go of my zcon 15...... but look what i got. it makes it all better
