You can underpower a subwoofer. I still would run the X and possibly add a second later. Have you looked at the SSA GCON? That may suit your needs.

^ Make sure to test that amp before its sold to you. That's a much much better choice!
Those will do nowhere near 5,000w or even 3,000w. Its "2,500w @ 1 ohm" which is a joke. Find something else. You'd be better off with a Hifonics Brutus or something from Audiopipe at that price. Good luck!
Cool truck. Can't wait to see the finished product. I remember on my '46 Chevy, the battery was located right under the passenger's feet. Was that where it was stock in the '55?
Now don't keep looking at the tracking info for updates, it will drive you crazy lol. Great product choice though, SSA has great customer service.
4 MMATS Jugg's in a 4th order walled Silverado. Thought some of the guys who have been into audio for a while would like the video. I guess the owner of the truck who owns a shop was contacted by MMATS, they let him choose anything he wanted for the build, and he's now a dealer. Lucky him lol.
At least you know that Orion and Kicker aren't the shiznit anymore. I hate when guys, mostly clueless shop owners say that Fi, SSA, Sundown are all no-name chinese crap brands. No problem, I'm not sure if ALL4SPL was on this forum, so I linked you. Post up a build when the time comes .
