run a 12" q and 1000D, at first when my alt wasnt being toasted 80amps but it was 12 years old sooooo... it was amazing. loud, low, sounded great. doubt the 15" q would need a 1500D a solid 1000 watts from a sae-1000D is plenty but then again i plan on adding another sae-1000D which i bought tonight sooooooo breathing room is always nice. plan is 2 amps bridged at 4 ohms.... making 1300 or so. eventually drop q and go mx or xxx or possibly some AA loving but definately think sae-1000D is right route to go at first. until u see ur circumstances. then if u want add another sae-1000D or drop one u have and buy the 1500D. is the difference between the 55 - 500 side and 55 - 1000 side pretty significant? when adjusting to around 80hz?

Ok guys i have a 100.4 and just got some new mids after old ones got replaced at cdt..... I want to know the best way to adjust your amps hpf and lpf? in this case my 100.4 hpf for my 3 way components..... i dont no if the vertical point in between both markings like 55 and 500 are exactly the average of the two. but id like to know how to set these filters fairly accurately... it marked but it not a marking in incriments... it just 2 marking beginning and end on my sundown.... i did by ear.... but it around 85...

will the new polys still be around same price and be able to drop down into the lower freq unlike other 6.5's i sending my cdt hd-6's (both of them) back to cdt cause the glue came undone completely on one of drivers, and partly on another from the spider... i think hpf to low and sending the hd-642 3 way 310 per side..... guess they weak.... hopefully im not charged as mishandling cause gains were accurately done and no distortion but hpf was around 85 - 90 when it says 100 with higher power.... what estimate of price for new polys 35$ per...?

Amplifier A also has possibility to make 1800 @ 2 ohms, can amplifier B say that..... Nope... He to busy get boned by his older brother in the corner.. Both great amps, but as stated jacobs service is unreal and his amps are built to last... while somehow maintaining an incredible price to performance ratio U no my vote =]

http://subwoofertools.com/forum/ported-box.asp in my opinion this is a very useful tool.... only thing u have to know going into it when designing the box is dimensions u have in mind... total port area (Cu ft. of box x 16, ex: 4 cu ft box x 16 = port area of 64) tuning of the box.... and displacement of your sub.... and the xmas of ur sub to obtain your desired port area.... everything revolves around the xmas.... so first initially plug in the accurate xmas of the sub... then slowly bring it down until you hit the desired port area... a little bigger port area wont hurt... also youre first box is going to be an akward maze type of slot port as u lower the xmas itll turn into an L port... just mess around and have fun.. i never been able to understand winisd.... but the free ported plans works well for me Mike-

clarion dz9225 or whatever. friend has one. front 3 way active + subwoofer individual tuning. 4 sets of pre outs. .7 incriments of time alignment. It has everything u could want

well i feel the low end is there. but it sounds a little muddy mostly because my rear deck light is hitting glass and i getting a few vibrations etc... but i feel the low end is there. however i think the high end frequencies could be better and more pronounced. It may just need to be sealed to get the punchy and tightness of a sealed box to get what im aiming at. The box is 2.5 cu ft. @ 30 hz witht he port aiming to the rear of my car away from the cabin. The sub and port on on the front baffle. Not top mounted. Mike

i doing what you did daily. it gets incredibly warm because it maxed out at max unclipped volume on max gain allowed maybe .5 volt over and it gets incredibly warm. sometimes it shuts off. sometimes it doesnt. it all depends on if my ac is running, windows are down. and how fast im going. but then again you shouldnt crank the amp to how i have it cranked. ill lower gains and what not when i get my 2nd amp and strap em. Dont need 1800 on a q a good 1500 - 1600 will sufice
