2 strapped or 1 big one
In a situation like that I normally run a higher load daily and at a show I run .5 ohm. Which means I run 1 ohm to two amps strapped which lets each amp see .5. However, you have to have the electrical to back it up, and in some applications amps just don't like it. From a safer stand point a single 1 ohm amp would work just as well.

The appropriate place for a volt meter?
This is what we do unless we install more then one.

We have not put it on the meter yet. It was not built with numbers in mind though. Just meant to work and sound good daily.

While I understand that you do not like the truck, speaking of how he must have sustained an injury of any type is not ok with me at all. Please edit your post to reflect the fact that I do not and will not condone such a verbal disregard for someone's well being.

He was involved in a very tragic car accident years ago where he nearly died himself. So the bulk of his funds come from there from what I understand.

One of our client's cars.
After some talks it would appear that he wants to jump up to the AQ 2.5 series and do a B pillar wall. So back to the drawing board for another version of a 24 10" enclosure lol.

Well, just spoke with the owner. While a truck that looks to be breathing is enough for most...he is contemplating going bigger already.

3 Fi Qs 12 DVC needs to be wire down to maintain 1.4 ohms
If he wants 1.3/4(ish) then I would hope he has D2s or D1s.

OLD SCHOOL US AMPS
That is alot of cheating lol... Here are the specs of the old Soundstream Lil Wonder (last page) The little wonder was not a cheater amp though, it was a marketing gimmick that was massively successful. I know. This thread make me think of it though. IIRC Soundstream did it in part to poke fun at the cheater amps that were around at the time. Not many cheater style amps around now since there's really not much point. Zuki is the only one to really come to mind, and he doesn't have much point behind doing it other than marketing. USACi still uses power classes and there are still several amps that are "cheater" style, but nothing like there used to be. The last one I can think of was the Atomic amps that placed larger power amps in smaller chassis for their competitors. Also the Clif Designs CDX-20A.

OLD SCHOOL US AMPS
That was common back then. Similar to Orion and the HCCA line as well as many other companies. While some still exist, it is much less prevalent now then it used to be.

Here is a horrible picture of when we were testing out the dual alt setup to make sure it was working correctly. I will have to snap a finalized install pic later on though. The only thing that change is some of the wiring I think.

I will see if I can track some down of the actual install, it was done over a wide range of time and I'm not sure how many pics were actually taken. As for the sound, it has a very clean and clear sound. It is pretty loud I guess too..lol I will try and get more pics when I have truck at the house again though.

It's funny you mentioned that. His original idea was to use 32 10s lol.

Some of you may have seen this on another forum...but I figured I would post this here as well. This is actually a friend of mine's truck, so this was all done at the house "off the clock"....so it took a few days of after hours work to get it going. Product... 24 10" Audioque 2.0 dual 4 ohm sub-woofers 4 Audioque Pro-Audio 6.5"s 4 Audioque Pro-Audio Tweets 2 Audioque 3500Ds 1 Audioque 120.4 All Cadence wires 9 C&D batteries Dual DC alternators (300amps each) Here is the truck... The product (some of it) The rough idea.... The enclosure.... The amp rack..... still working on it... All baffles were done for what the owner wanted to see cosmetically, but came out decently I think. Truck is just stupid loud over all. I will try and get some video of it at some point soon.

How would 4 12 inch Dcons sound
I would suggest finding out what kind of room you have to work with first. Then go about figuring out what would work best with your goals, power, and application in mind.

(3) L3 Wiring question
Just be cautious with the amp settings and how you beat on the subs. The birth sheet means nothing though, so don't go by those numbers as they are just tossed out by someone filling everything out.

Audio technix deadener.....
Just to clarify, I was not implying AT in my post. I'm doing my best to stay out of negative posting about anyone elses product unless I have a valid reason to do so. Which at this time, I do not.
