This will be my first car audio system. Fi Q 12, 2.25ft^3 ported to 32hz. All I have right now is my sub. Box is currently being built by TRP and a DD M2b amp is on the way. First off my chariot... 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. Mods: Greddy Evo2 exhaust system, Injen cold air intake, Megan Racing short shifter with Greddy counter weight knob, Fidanza light weight flywheel, ES Polyurethane motor,trans,and shifter mounts, corner lights, tail lights, Mio C520 GPS, Escort X50 radar detector, and Sony CDX-GT740UI head unit. Pics of my car are a little old but the only thing that has changed is a new front factory bumper with out the Mitsubishi sign, so you get the idea. I will add more pics as soon as my box and amp arrives. Still need a new XS battery and wires for big 3, amp etc...

Start studying. Once you see what goes into designing a ported box properly. You will see that 30 bucks really isn't that bad. Gotta pay to play.

Brz 1700.1 is about as close as your gonna get at $210. That is the cheapest amp that I would recommend.

Speaking on that, I believe iPods get a fair amount louder than regular mp3 players or cellphones. My phone thru aux doesn't get that loud, but years ago, my buddy had a radio using aux with his iPod and it was loud and clear. But i'm not sure on the bitrate of some of this stuff I DL. I feel like I should buy the CDs and burn myself or just play the CD. Well the stereo in my car connects via usb and it sounds great. Gets just as loud as a cd would. Stereo in my bed room connects via aux and sounds like shit. It doesn't get near as loud as a cd. Even using the best aux cord monoprice.com sells.

I installed my stereo with iPod hook up well over a year ago. I haven't burned a cd since then. I usually try to only down mp3's that are 320kbps.

When I first got my Eclipse. I would wash my car almost every weekend. Not even a hour after I would finish there would be bird shit on my driver side mirror. Almost every single time and it would always be on the driver side mirror,no where else. I literally watched a bird land on it and shit one day after I had just finished washing it. I started keeping a car cover on it for the first few days after I washed it. It only took like 2 mins to put on and take off and problem solved... And I also told my little brother to shot every bird he seen.

Try unplugging the right channel rca on your amp.Leaving only the left channel plugged in.

I have 2 pairs of SkullCandys. A pair of ear buds and a on ear pair. I think they are great but then again I've never heard any beats by dre or anything like that. Can't compare them to much but they are at least 10 times better than apple ear buds.
