Having that bumped t-yock looks like it will get sratched up very easily. I already notice that one is, seems like the only downfall. That's a heep of weight on that little piece, so you probably blow on it wrong it'll move enough to sratch. Looks nice though, its different looking, which is always good. Also, are you going to do different coil options? Like a all out SPL and a more daily friendly? Or are you going to have just one, that's best of both worlds?

AA SMD's aren't as pricey as you think. For what it is, it is priced VERY well.

So you bought a AQ1200D from a dealer?! And you got a dual1 sub and you got a amp that's rated for 1ohm? I guess I didn't read the details when I first posted in this thread, but I would of sugguested other options too. First finding a amp that's rated to put its power out at 2ohms would of been first.

I'd go with a Xcon over Zcon for 1200watts. Unless you have a plan on doubling the power one day. I haven't heard a w7 in depth, but I'm sure you can find similar or better sounding for less money. Honestly for 2 12s and 1200watts, Icon's should really be considered.

A full cooling plug/solid pole, with an "axial" style cooling. As I said in the past, the Zcon is the counter part to the Xcon, and answer to some of the needs people wanted but the Xcon was not meant to be. The Zcon is a higher power handling, higher capable output driver then the Xcon, but I hope people understand our model lines are not a direct line from one to the next. Reason I say this is that I notice some posts with the tone of the Zcon being a direct step up from the Xcon, which it is not as they are some what different. As in the Icon to the Xcon, there is some big differences in design and intent. The Dcon is somewhat like a mini-gen1 Icon. We don't plan to make the same driver at different power handling levels. Yes, they will all share a similar philosophy and very high standards for their respective design and purpose, but they are all different in their own right. So the whole pole is plugged to make it solid?

I had no doubt Troy would do the right thing. Like I said in my first post in this thread, Troy is a good guy, just had some bad luck getting these brackets done. Anyways, hopefully he can straighten everything out and get rolling again. For what he's doing, and his prices, your nothing to get much better.

For 4cuft, you should of went with a 15".

Buddy of mine had a 15 BL in 4cuft tuned to 30hz, and peaked at 29hz. It was a LOW END MONSTER, yet still attained the upper end punchiness. I personally loved the way it sounded, it had good SQ for a groundpounder basshead setup.
