  1. hmm for a little more i have pretty much decided on some mag 12s. Below 1 ohm load but ive heard alot of good things about the magnum subs and loved my 15s so hopefull it will be a decent combination
  2. the Icons really spark an interest but i would like to see some reviews up of them before commiting, only other one there that interest me is the Q ive hadalot of experience with them but would like to try somethign different then my local friends edit , ive also been hearing that the sundown is no longer warrantied down at the .5 load so that loads somethign i would try to stay away from if at all i could as i would like to feep my warranty in tact
  3. 2 12s is a possibility as well, i just forgot to note it in the first post
  4. Looks like i'll be running all sundown amps in the near future. I'm looking for forum recommendations for a nice Loud sub that can produce nice lows off a single Sundown SAZ-1500d. Currently my top pick is an RE MX 15 im nt really interested in the Fi BL, but i did look at it as a possibility, and i looked at the TC 3000 but seems they are kinda wishy washy about having things in stock or not. Price is about 700 dollars to work with for a single 15
  5. or build you a chitty box and blame it on the sub
  6. time for a new box maybe?

  15. most ive seen them benched at was 1960 at .5 ohm load
  16. the cost of tryign to change it over probably would outwiegh the benifet IMO though
  17. BTL's, better chance of keeping them longer
  18. definetly, may have a Q15 box in the works soon as well
  19. whys it have to be in florida lol beingin california kinda sucks in these cases
  20. i would think that its just a dead spot in the board or the board itself is shared with another amp, maybe not even a US Amp product.

the 10 starts at 119 no idea on 12s or higher though
  22. x2 , im recently a big fan of fleckstoned boxes
  23. he likes it over his last setup, but wants a second 18 already. he has some problems with it not being pronounced enough on rock music but its not a real concern to him as his primary music interest is Rap
  24. First off let me say i'll be totally honest and say i had very low hopes for this sub, as the previous owner had already told me what he thought about it. I bought this sub for the price of $40 dollars form him without a dustcap, contacted Scott and he was kind enough to send me a dustcap for the sub. I tested this sub in a in a sealed off trunk of a 1978 Chevrolet Camaro The test Equipment was: Alpine 9835 kenwood entry level 6.4 coaxials Kenwood entry level 6x9s All speakers inside cabin running from deck power Sub amp MTX 500d ( i know its over the RMS of the sub, buti honestly wanted to see if it would take over the RMS and the only other amps i have are 2k RMS and above) The box i decided to build for it was a ported enclosure consisting of 1.3 cubes net 19sq in of port and tuned to 33hz. The first listen was in the camaro, and i was very curprised at what i heard. I putin some 38 special (classic rock) and the sub was very responsive to the quick drum beats of the rock genre, Next i tryed Journey - Who's crying now i honestly myself as a "high dollar sub owner" couldnt believe the amount of sound coming from a little cheap 10, it was very acurate and loud for what was playing. Welli thought to myself, "well it sounds great on rock music, i bet rap is where it falls off" well it surprised me once again, it went though the whole Young Jeezy album (The Inspiration), Bass Mekanik - Quad maxximus-,and E-40 - my ghetto report card albums with flying colors. the dustcap did rise just a bit over room temp but i was slamming the crapout of it over RMS. my only letdown, is that its not loud enough for me, buti think its more just me being used to more, i cant expect the world out of a 350RMS sub. through the frequency ranges in the Camaro setup it seemed to shine from 30-48ish hz, over and under the volume was slightly decreased but not enough to make me frown upon the sub. Overall for my personal listening if i was looking for a 10" substage i would seriously consider this sub if you want somethign clean sounding for a great price, $119 i believe is what Scott told me they go for. If you want somethign loud i would say either buy multiples of these or look higher up in the Fi library of subs.
