At idle when cold.After the alts warm up a bit they settle to around 15.6 to 15.8 pending on how im bumping. and how many watts are you pushing?

both are great subs..but the idmax does not come in 15's..so if i had to choose between the 2 id go with the fi q..its much cheaper and i believe it will give you the same amount of output..ive had many people who have owned both tell me the out was just about the same but the idmax did have the edge in sq..

ya i think i'll go with EA..i was surprised when he said $639 for a 200amp alt..but can someone tell me why i couldnt drive daily on a spl alt? will i fry my wires?

its ok man usually from all the alts ive looked at the idle is usually 20-40 amps less then its full power for a 180 alt can be around 140-160 at idle..this isnt written in stone mind you..its just what ive seen

i just got a return email from power master and said they can only do a 300 alt for me if its a pure spl truck since its a daily driver they the biggest they can make is 200amp for $639 ea said they can make me a 300amp alt for $500 now i know thats a 100 more amps for $139 cheaper..but i also know its not all numbers in this hobby..is powermaster that much better that i can go with less amps and pay more or should i go with EA?

guys im building a box just for the hell of it..its going to be a sealed box and i just want to see if i can do this because im sick of paying $250+ to have others do it for me..the size of the box will be 2.5 cu.ft..so if you guys can list what i will need to get this done besides nails,hammer,glue, also what kind of glue do you guys like? i really hope i can pull this off...thanx guys

it is amazingly cheap to build a box when you consider most shops charge around $200+++ i have the tools but no experience in building a box..but if you got the time try it out

thats a good choice for wires but dont buy that auction..go to regular ebay they are about $55-$65 there

I ordered a spl-15 to replace my Fi BL 15. The box is a simple slot ported design. 4.3 cubic feet tuned to ~32hz. Amp is a RF t30001bd. wow that amp and sub combo is awsome..a couple vids is a must when its up and running..
